R Place Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Pine Haven

We had just driven from the Black Hills to spend the afternoon at Devils Tower bouldering and hiking. Then drove down to Pune Haven to spend the night before heading home (Philly). We had only eaten snack bars all day so we were super ready to eat. We rolled in around 7ish. There are two places side by side in town and this place was packed with cars. Turns out it was Dart night. So my daughter and I bellied up for dinner. The place was packed and although there were no clouds of smoke, people we’re definitely smoking inside so if that bothers you go find a mcdonalds. The folks were super friendly with several at the bar striking up conversations with us and then teaching us the rules of the dart games. The locals were having a friendly tournament. So much fun to watch. We met the owner and Bobbie the barmaid was super friendly albeit crazy busy. She knew everyone in the place and even though we were passing through made sure we felt right at home. Oh yeah, the food was just down-home good. I ordered the steak - cooked perfectly, fries and toast were great. My daughter got the flat iron - ditto. This food was fresh...

I went to r place and I spent money and treated everyone with respect the place even though a bar at lake has a no shoes no shirt no service policy which I was addressed about until later when I put a dollar into the dart machine (that I wasn't refunded ) the lady behind the counter said that I need to be 18 to play and I'm few months from after I asked for dart they told me to go outside because I didn't bring a shirt to the lake when I left my cousin told me that the lady behind the counter had said that there was actually no age limit and she just wanted me to leave . I'm not unattractive I have a 6 pack and really don't know why I was treated so...

I love it here! Great place to stop and have a bite and cold one while out fishing and camping. They can get pretty busy for sure but we have never had an issue getting seated. The girls work their tails off, so sometimes the wait can be a little long as I've only ever seen 2 people working at a time between bartending and cooking, but the food is good and the atmosphere Is fun. We got to meet the owner last weekend, super cool and humble! Very fun time bullshitting with him. We always stop in at least once, but usually several times during our trip. Average price, not...
