I have visited here twice now and the food and service has been excellent both times. This place has a great view , especially at sunset, and ice cold beer. I recommend either the hot wings or the steak sandwich which are both incredibly tasty! I love the decor and it reminds me of an old wooden pirate ship with lots of nautical themed decorations. The waitresses have been very friendly and attentive on both visits. The seafood prices are a bit on the high side for the amount you get but the prices for regular fare are very reasonable. I don't usually give five stars but the Lazy Flamingo has certainly earned it in this case. Also note that we have heard negative comments for a few of the other locations but I believe these are independently owned and run and this location certainly doesn't disappoint.
Update 1/14/2018 - I have been twice more and had a completely different experience both times so it seems service and quality have declined which is a real shame. I had to send food back because it was under cooked and inedible. On our last visit we had to wait 40 mins for our food which was slightly overcooked, then our waitress left and no one knew where our ticket was so we had to wait 30 minutes for them to figure out what we ordered then write up the check. Very ridiculous. We will probably try it again but it will be a while.
Update 1/28/19 I have visited a few more times and had decent experiences both times. The staff although usually very busy, is almost always very friendly. I think you have a better chance of a positive experience during less busy times. We do really like this...
Read moreAmazing little restaurant with awesome food, views and service. We drove the boat there. We found easy boat docking. The docks are really nice and we felt save leaving the boat while we dined. We were greeted right away and given a choice of a table or a booth. We were a party of 5 . Server greeted us quickly and was very friendly and efficient. 3 of us ordered chicken tenders. We found out from hostess they ran out and brought back menues so we could reorder when the waitress arrived. I switched to a chicken grilled sandwich with hot buffalo sauce. It was amazing. I was happy I changed my order. I had it with the side salad and would definitely order it again. My husband had the blackened grouper sandwich. He said it was one of the best he had had. Ryan switched his order to the hot wings and said they were the best he ever had. Everyone was very happy and excited to return again soon. All the employees acted like we were visiting their home with that warm hospitality. Loved it there. Came back again after the 2 back to back hurricanes. Happy to see the restaurant did well and food was amazing as always. Service was terrific. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich with Buffalo sauce on the side it...
Read moreThis is by far my wife and my favorite dining out establishment in southwest Florida. There specialty is the fresh, day's catch of Hogfish, Triple Tail, Ocean Red Snapper and other delicious, properly prepared fish items on the menu. Mesquite smoked, is their most asked for preparation, and no one else does it better! Fish, as a dinner item or as a sandwich, you can't go wrong, ordering their daily offered fish. My wife and my favorite, the Hogfish, she requests the sandwich and I, the dinner. More than enough to satisfy the largest diets. The local IPA choices are top notch, delicious and refreshing. The local environment, a local inner harbor outside your window seats, makes for the perfect settings. Try this restaurant once, you'll keep coming back for more. Sits on the northern edge of Pine Island, making for an awesome ride out to reach your dining location. Easily accessible from Pine Island Road, making a right turn at Bokeelia. See you there, again and again,...
