I am leaving a 2 star review and it is ALL due to the staff. I have NEVER witnessed more self absorbed, incredibly lazy people in my life. My friend and I were in on December 13th at 3;30-4:30 in the afternoon. At the time we were in the Belted Goat there were NO other customers waiting to check out. She was with one register and I another. The lazy one checking me out just clanged two mugs together into my bag, $15 each mugs and told me if I didn't hit any speed bumps going home I should be fine. I said well, I still would prefer they be wrapped. They then sighed and made a huge ordeal to get the tissue paper where they barely put one piece on each mug and nothing to decorate the gift bag that had coffee and other things. My friend had the same scenario in her line and the 3 workers were too busy talking to each other to be bothered. In addition, they looked unclean and their shirts were too small and needed replacing. Made the whole experience just gross. It really is a shame since the patio, gift & food selection, general appearance and location are really well thought out. I would not have my hard work that I put into a business dragged down by these incompetent individuals. You need to...

It sinks its fancy this place. It wants so badly to be fancy. The food is on the good side of mediocre, but the prices are ridiculously exorbitant, and sometimes go up for no reason on an item that has changed not at all. The menu also changes constantly with almost no warning and no one working there seems to know about these changes either. I go there once a month for a book club, and atmosphere wise it is a very nice place four meetings and group activities. But sometimes they will shut whole portions of the restaurant, forcing everyone closer together, and that doesn't help a large group trying to discuss books amidst the chatter. Once you get your food You're basically on your own when it comes to service. For the prices you pay you shouldn't have to bus your own table but you're expected to. They also consistently get orders wrong and it takes forever to correct. If you don't have a reason to go there, like a fancy wedding or a book club, I'd give this place a skip, which is a shame, because the restaurant and surrounding Park area is...

Came here for some ice cream and the staff was plain out rude. We arrived at 4:45 pm and they close at 5:00 pm. However, there is no reason to treat people the way the staff treated us. We were with 2 elderly woman, and while we were downstairs eating our ice cream they came in and shouted “it’s 5 pm we’re going to ask you to leave”. There was a rainstorm going on and another customer with an infant and another elderly woman asked, “in the rain”, and the worker said “yes, in the rain and go out the side door because we already locked the door upstairs. It was dangerous to even walk outside under the torrential rain, and they did not care at all. We will NEVER come here again, and highly recommend no one else ever wastes their time, money or energy in coming here to get mistreated. The ice cream wasn’t even that good. This place should be shut down if they can’t find staff that wants to work and treat people humanely. They do not deserve the 1 star, but the app would not let me post my review unless I...

I thought I would save time so I ordered online before I went to get takeout at The Belted Goat today. Their online menu (as well as their in house menu) reads: A cup of Meat Chili - served with Cornbread, Guacamole, Salsa, Lime, Sour Cream, and Grated Cheddar. $7.00 Side of Cornbread - Slice of Cornbread. Perfect for those who like extras for their chili! $2.00 I ordered Chili, Cornbread, and Tea. I waited for my order in the restaraunt for twenty five minutes. They were out of tea and had been "making some fresh" the entire time I was there, so I settled for icewater. When I got my order back to the office I had a bowl of Red Beans in greasy taco meat (no cornbread, no guacamole, no Salsa, no lime, no sour cream, and no grated cheddar!) with a slice and a half of loaf bread. I called to explain their oversight and I was put on hold twice for a total of fourteen minutes and on my third atempt I was hung up on immediately. Oh yeah and the total for my $9.00 order was over $16.00!

The Belted Goat is a super FIVE-STAR stop for breakfast, brunch, lunch, grab-and-go bites, or just a fun place to shop! We've eaten here multiple times, and consistency is the rule. Today’s standout: an awesome grilled pimento cheese sandwich with smoked bacon and fried green tomato on home-baked bread—hands down the best pimento cheese sandwich of my life! Sally, who appreciates excellent food, absolutely loved the Wild Harvest Salad: pulled chicken, cauliflower rice, seeds, Medjool dates, and warm Brussels sprouts, all topped with a tangy sherry dressing. A perfect blend of hearty and healthy. We sipped on fresh homemade tea and ended our meal by splitting a rich, homemade dark chocolate brownie—to die for! We’ll definitely be back. SEE PHOTOS!
