We are long-time visitors to Pittsburg but have never been to 1840. We had an opportunity to experience this restaurant on April 8th during the eclipse. Our original plan to experience the eclipse at our camp wasn't a reality because of the lack of access due to snow and older family members with mobility issues. The owners of 1840 offered an opportunity to have a paid reserved parking spot which included credit towards meals and access to the restrooms. The owners were amazing hosts. While the menu was limited for the day of the eclipse, the food and hospitality were top-notch! Hannah our waitress was amazing! Owners and staff walked around to make sure needs were met. My mother and father appreciated the coffee early in the day! We have nothing but positive things to say. My 75-year-old mother has had many recent health issues and you truly helped make her dream of seeing the eclipse a reality. Thank you! We can't wait to get back to Pittsburg to try...
Read moreNoticed this restaurant changed since was last up in Pittsburg so decided to have dinner and was pleasantly surprised. Sat at the bar and staff was very friendly. Nice full bar with plenty of items to chose from including lots of beers on tap. Ordered a Caesar salad and Da Napoli pizza with roasted red peppers added to it. Salad was excellent and the pizza was outstanding, plenty of toppings and cooked perfectly....oh and cooked in a wood fired oven too!!! Only one size pizza (about 12"), but with a salad it was more than enough food. Will definitely come back when I am up in Pittsburg again. Some folks next to me had wings which looked really good too. Definitely recommend anyone passing through to...
Read moreFirst time at 1840 for me. We called ahead for a table on a Saturday night and did not have to wait to be seated. Our server, Amber was fantastic. She was friendly, attentive, & made drink recommendations. The food was delish! We started off with Chicken Tender appetizer with honey mustard, bourbon BBQ, hot honey dipping sauces. CBR Pizza, Farmers Market Pasta & 1840 Smash Burger. The portion sizes were large. We took our left over food home. My 8 month old grandson enjoyed little bites of the pasta and french fries. There was a football game on, the bar was full and many tables were taken. Atmosphere was very nice and comfortable. I look forward to...
