My husband and I went to Scotties for our 19th wedding anniversary last night. The place looks gorgeous! We had frequented this restaurant when it was the former Acock's Inn, and we were more than impressed with the new aesthetic. Scotties has a generous menu and inviting atmosphere. The prices are very reasonable and the service is five star. Denise was our waitress and she was so pleasant and helpful. She really hustled to make sure that everyone in the dining room had their needs met in a more than timely manner. I believe it was the chef or perhaps the owner that brought our meals out and came out once in awhile to see how people were enjoying their meals. Everything was clean, including the restrooms, and we will definitely be back! We highly recommend the sirloin steak, the baked macaroni and cheese, and the sirloin tips over noodles with mushrooms. The salads were crisp and fresh, no brown lettuce! And for whatever reason, I was in love with the little carafe that Denise filled with wine so that I could pour it into my glass! Simple pleasures :)

Wonderful surprise! We fell upon this little place while we were out on the Harley. By outside appearances, we were not quite sure what we were getting into and hoped for at lease decent bar food. To our (and our friends) great delight, we walked into what appeared to be an old home that was beautifully decorated and restored. The food was delicious with good portion sizes. The menu offered a great variety of options. Everything was fresh and served warm. Dessert was pretty darn good too! I’d highly recommend this place and we will definitely go back!

Scotties held an eclipse party on April 8. It was super fun and our group had a great time. The staff was very welcoming to us. We live about an hour from Scotties but hope to get there again soon.

3rd time there,... 1st time we were the only ones in the place...food cold and not very good. Ordered a CC and coke and got coca cola not a good experience. 2nd time restaurant was busy not packed, ordered fish fry and was so over cooked it was not edible. Left it on the plate and left. Also ordered CC and coke & got some clear liquid??? Waitress took it back and brought me some other drink that I'm not sure of what it was. 3rd time Valentine's day..today & last shot trying this place. Girlfriend got surf and turf...lobster way over cooked, looked like a rubber band trying to get out of the tail. Filet..not seared on any side and was gray in color very unappealing to eat. Cook inside was ok. Asparagus was over cooked, mashed taters were pretty good ($40). My chicken Piccata was ok but broccoli was cold. Finally got a real CC and coke but after getting the 2nd drink the Waitress dropped the bottle of CC and that was the end of that. Bottom line, if your gonna have a more upscale menu around this area you better have someone that knows how to...

I rarely leave reviews but am leaving this one as I read the reviews before we decided to go to Mother's Day brunch here. We tried last year and had a very bad experience and thought we'd give it a chance. It is so convenient to where we were coming from. It took over 40 minutes to get our very simple order of eggs, sausage toast and french toast with hash browns. When the food came the french toast was not completely cooked. When someone came areound to ask how things were and I told them it was still raw eggs in the bread he said he'd make another. In 10 minutes it was brought out..but this time burnt on one side. Perhaps they need to abandon serving breakfast. Would love to see this place succeed as in its location it would be great but I had two terrible...
