Came here with my friend, her husband, and their 1 year old. The hostess seated us at the bar since we didn't have a reservation. There was a 4 top open that wasn't set yet but she did not offer it to us. Maybe 10 mins later a couple walked in and they also did not have a reservation and were seated at the 4 top. Seriously? Our party had 3 adults and a kid and they seated us at the bar and the couple got seated at a 4 top? A bit annoying to say the least... Appetizer was good although the spinach-artichoke dip was a bit oily. Food was pretty good as well. Waffle fries were hot and coleslaw was delish with the fresh herbs. However, my fried chicken thighs were a bit dry and overcooked and definitely nowhere near as hot as my fries. Kind of disappointing for a place known for its fried chicken. Fairly small place on the inside. Next time I will know to call ahead and make a reservation. Despite the annoyance with the seating and lackluster fried chicken, my friends enjoyed their meals and our server was very friendly and attentive. The place is cute, one of those true VT gems and I will most likely be coming back (and hopefully the chicken will be hotter and moister...
Read moreI loved my server Jacob. He was friendly, helpful, and efficient. However, overall this restaurant did not have a good or friendly vibe. When I arrived the owner appeared to be agitated or involved in something. It was several minutes before she took notice of me and I had to ask if I should just grab a seat. What appeared to be her two young children were walking back and forth eating snacks through the center of the diners. I ordered the spicy chicken wrap with waffle fries. Overall it was good but I think it could have had a little more flavor. The chicken which appeared to be well fried and tender was overwhelmed by the slaw. The chicken was supposed to have a maple sirracha drizzle but it was barely noticeable. Fries were pretty good but could have been hotter. They had a dessert case of beautiful gourmet desserts. They looked delicious but I can't comment because I...

I ordered the eggplant caprese wihich was delicious it came with a pickle and a side of chips, my husband ordered the spicy chicken wrap it was fried chicken, coleslaw and bacon with a side of waffle fries of course i had to steal some of those they were soooo good he said his wrap was excellent. We also grabbed a couple of frozen soups for dinner and an pumpkin pie for dessert. The atmosphere is very tasteful and it was extremely clean. There is a little section dedicated to gifts such as scarfs earrings, specialty chocolates, maple syrup. The coolers are filled with cold beer, sodas, water and juice they have a hot coffee stand to grab a cup of coffee. After chatting with the young woman at the register they will soon have lottery. It's definitely one of our new favorite places. Check it out even if it's just to...
