The last two visits my wife and I have made to Flo’s were fantastic, this one however not so much. We ordered a grilled chicken flatbread and a hot honey 9” pizza with no bacon. After waiting for over 30 minutes and watching people come in after us get food I was starting to wonder. Then the waitress came out and said the cooks accidentally put pickles on my pizza. She stated that they are remaking it and asked if I wanted to take home the pickle pizza which I said yes. I asked if my wife’s flatbread was done now though and she said no.. which I thought was strange why would mine be done but not hers. Whatever I decided to wait. While waiting I wondered where the pickle pizza was? I thought I was going to get it to go home with, surely it might be nice to try a bite while we wait since we have been here 45 min and are hungry but that’s fine. Finally the food is brought out by the head cook or manager idk. He was very nice and said to ask for him if the pizza wasn’t good. I took a bite, it was amazing I never try anything new and I was pleasantly surprised. My wife’s however was almost ice cold. We told the waitress and she offered to have it remade. At that point we were irritated. We asked for a side of ranch and my wife shared my pizza and we both had some fries. The cheese on the flatbread wasn’t even melted and looked like old rubber. Cold chicken and bacon. My guess… it was done at the correct time and sat while my pizza was remade. Frustrating since I specifically asked. Then comes time for the bill. Suddenly the pickle Pizza makes an appearance. I took a bite and honestly it was good. Would’ve eaten it with the pickles IF that was offered, I love pickles. I’m not totally dissatisfied and probably after several months I’ll get over it and come back. It’s just so many things could have been done to make it a good experience. If I was offered the pickle pizza my wife’s food would most likely have been good. Everyone would’ve won. Maybe they could’ve given me 25% off the pizza or knocked off one of the cherry cokes. Idk. Not worried about the money never am. It’s the ruined experience that sucks. I would pay double every time if I was guaranteed a perfect experience. We don’t get out much so it’s disappointing when it’s not good. A basket of chips, fries, couple of breadsticks, the pickle pizza that was sitting in a box in the back getting cold could have been set on the table and I would’ve never wrote this review. Maybe that’s against their policy idk. 15 years ago when I worked at pietros back door pizzeria as a server it was our policy to go grab a basket of breadsticks and marinara sauce for a table when they had to wait an extended period of time. People rarely are angry when they’re stuffing their face. Just a thought. Hot honey pizza was amazing hope it stays in the menu till my slow but eventual return.

I tried their pizza challenge. It was fun. The gluten-free pizza was good, too. - Pizza 28” Challenge - $35: Super thin, but soft and fairly good. The crust was dry, tough, chewy and was fairly plain. The pizza was easy, but the crust was very hard. I saved the crust for last (a tactic I learned from another competitor), but in this case, I think you need to eat the crust along the way so you don’t get tired of chewing it all at the end. Break it up. I failed by one slice and almost all the crust I saved for the end. It sounds like the challenge is undefeated currently. Someone has to beat it. It is well within the possibility compared to other challenges out there. Though it is 28” and that sounds huge (it is huge), it is actually thin enough that it is still very much possible for those who train for it. I’d have to guess it is 4 pounds. I weighed it at 3.5 pounds, but we couldn’t get it to balance well enough to take our hands off of it to get an accurate measurement. 28” is huge!!! - Pizza 9” - $: Fits on a plate. My daughter ate it and reported it was good. The crust was plain. - Cauliflower Pizza 12” - $: Except for the amount of cheese, it would have been my daughter’s new favorite gluten-free pizza. - Service: Super helpful and cheerful. She was new, but it didn’t show at all. She was very proficient and amazing! - Atmosphere: Clean. A bit on the darker side, but not bad. There is a higher ceiling and voices probably carry very easily. We didn’t experience that too much since we stopped by during a slow time. - Conclusion: I’d certainly recommend this place for many reasons including the cheerful staff. Visited on a Monday at 2pm.

We were seated in the overflow room Sunday night along with 40-50 other people. As you can imagine the service was ridiculously slow. They had 1 server trying to keep up with these large groups. She was so overwhelmed we felt sorry for her. Food was marginal at best. I played it safe with salad and the calamari, which was missing the banana peppers. Others got Chicken Parm which looked dry and overcooked. Had to get a lot of extra sauce to make it edible. Live and learn, should have gotten pizza and pitchers of water right off the bat. Overall it was about 2 hours start to finish with the server coming by twice and 40 min wait on food.

We used to eat here quite often pre pandemic. Since then the food has been mediocre to not good at all. In fact the last time we ate there a couple of weeks ago we took most of our dinner home and fed it to the dogs it was so bad. No disrespect intended at all and no joke at someone's expense....our meals truly were bad. Chicken was tough and overcooked, lots of gristle, very bad.

The more understandable part is the service. Our last two visits went like this. First visit get seated and wait....and wait.....and wait.......and wait for a server. After 20 minutes we were ready to get up and walk out (it was not very busy), but one of our party asked another server to help so she got our server. That's not the first time we have waited after getting seated but it was the longest. We get it, the restaurant industry has probably faced the biggest challenges of all with getting help and good help, but if you got 'em, sure should train them better.

This most recent visit our server seemed to have no clue and was living in la la land. Zero personality and spoke extremely quietly, almost a whisper. We both ordered the chicken strips (see above), with a few different dipping sauces. The menu states a honey mustard is included automatically and neither of us received any when our meals arrived. In fact only 1 sauce of 3 we asked for aside from the honey mustard was delivered.

We waited and waited for the server to come back but she was non existent. We grabbed another server walking by and asked for our sauces.....that was the last we saw of her too. Finally our server showed up and we requested our sauces again. At this point she told me they were out of that particular sauce. So she was going to ignore me initially and bring us nothing? Overall a zero score performance for that server. Typically I am tip well. This was the lowest tip I left someone in many years, only $5.00 given that she had shown up for work. I honestly believe with more training she might have a chance.

We aren't giving up on Flo's quite yet as we are long time patrons and it has always been a very good experience, however after these last two we are a bit hesitant to make it our first choice of places to go as we have in the past.

I hope ya'all can get it straightened out because we really have enjoyed everything previously. I know there are many challenges facing most restaurants and other businesses post Covid, however I have not seen one fall so far so quickly. Keep...

Response to owner -

We have dined 4-5 times in the past 6 months/ year or so.

First time, we had still raw fish, with behind soggy batter & spent a good 45 minutes waiting for food. To have it remade & brought out in about 10 minutes.

Next time we got pizza, pasta & an all. We asked for the app first, it came out probably 2 minutes before our main course. My pasta was very cold & the pizza was made with incorrect ingredients. Again, having to wait for fresh, correct food.

The 3rd time, we got steaks. I asked for rare/ med rare, and it came out well done & cold. This time we waited an hour for our food, and you guys offered to remake it, but we said no, we just wanted our refund & to leave. You said sorry we’ve had a talk with the kitchen staff, won’t happen again.

Next time, my husband got fish, and I got a sandwich, can’t be that hard? His fish AGAIN came out translucent, with at least half an inch of breading on it. $20 for breaded, raw fish.. to which the waitress said “well they temped it and it temped fine so idk. We can make you more if you want” we also ordered salads & asked for them first… we asked 2-3 times where our salads were. the food took over 45 minutes to come out, while there was 1 table outside, & 4 tables besides us inside, about 6:30/7pm. She said I’m grabbing them now, brought them out. Then immediately grabbed our food & brought it… that’s extremely annoying.

We have tried to make this establishment one we want to frequent, but every single time we come, the food is a disaster & needs to be remade. Not just in a “we’re picky” way. Like… yall extremely dropping the ball on the whole meal… The last time we were there, a table behind us ordered onion strings or something? The waitress said “normally this come with a lot more. Not sure what’s going on here.” Set it down and walked away.. like dang!! Yall don’t care about your customers, consistency, or your image clearly. It’s one thing to have a fluke here or there, but it is clear you guys have a lot of kitchen/ staffing issues you’re choosing not to resolve. & it shows with 4 tables on a Thursday...
