Main Street Pizzeria & BBQ — Restaurant in Plainfield Township

We had dined in, and I was disappointed. I use to visit Mainstreet regularly when I lived in the area, so decided to take the family there since I haven't been in years. The pizza tasted completely different than what I recalled. It wasn't completely horrible, but it definitely did not live up to what I recall it being a few years ago. I no longer feel it stands out compared to the other pizza places, as it once did.

I would say the service was a 5 out of 10 for how busy they were. We did have to wait a few minutes longer than I feel was necessary because the phone was ringing off the hook and rather than placing a call on hold, they kept taking order after order at the expense of their dine-in customer's service.

After reading some recent reviews, I'm sure I will be told that I should have told the manager at the time. While I understand wanting to make it right, it will not change the taste of the pizza, so I think an honest review of our experience is necessary for...

First off I'm aware of being short staff but what happened to me this past Sunday night wasn't right. First the waitress was great because of being short staff , she running around trying to take care of everyone. I ordered the smoked BBQ chicken what I got was cold chicken with some BBQ sauce thrown on top of the chicken they didn’t even attempt to make it look BBQ chicken. So I went in side and told the waitress to charge me for the drink and the beans and I informed her of the chicken, she started to apologize but I told it wasn't her fault. The owner/ manager just created a new bill and gave it to the waitress to handle it. If the owner/manager had came out to me I would have a different view of this .

I would give the pizza nothing that stood out, I ordered the everything just ok med for $19, med pep with extra cheese $16, side salad asked for onion charged me for that $6.50 "side salad" ordered a kids chicken tender, granddaughter does not eat fries asked if I could substitute she said yes, so we did fried mushrooms, UPCHARGE of $4:00 if I knew that I would have just taken the fries home, Then go to pay the bill 3.99% charge to use debit card, very disappointing, with tip 75.73 Waitress was very nice, but should probably tell people if there are extra charges, when they ask if they can substitute.
