You guys have a loyal customer for life. On last evening I went and order 10lbs of crawfish and some Potatos and Corn. I spent a little over $50! I got home and proceeded to partake of the crawfish. My wife and I noticed that there were several crawfish that weren't up to their normal standards. Some were just rotten others were rubbery and some were over cooked.At first o started to just eat around them and take the lost but the further I got into the bag I realize that I had lost about 2lbs in bad crawfish. So I picked up the phone and called Crawfish Express. Once on the phone the lady simply said "bring em back and we'll replace them or give you your money back". I was a little puzzled cuz I couldn't tell if she was being flip and rushing me off cuz they were nearly closed or if she was being sincere and really wanted to fix my issue. Well when I arrived at Crawfish Express 10 minutes later.......there were still open. So I went to the window very apologetic and skeptical about the outcome. The ladies in the window never questioned me and simply asked......how did I want to handle it. I told them I just want crawfish. They smiled and laughed with me and apologized several times. I never received an attitude not was I treated like I was lying. They seemed to understand and "fixed" my issue with absolutely no problem. The crawfish in my opinion are the best in town. I originally choose you guys because of your location and my needs. But after last night......you proved to me that the customer was your first priority. The gave me new crawfish (al 10lbs) and some jumbo shrimp for my troubles. I didn't ask or expect anything for free but when you own your mistake and fix it w/o giving me a hassle you've won my respect and my loyalty. The truth is what happened was inevitable. They didn't purposely give me a hand full of bad picks. But they also purposefully fix my problem. Anyone running a business with such grace and excellence deserves to be in business. For whatever it's worth; you guys have landed a loyal customer and I appreciate they way you handled me. Businesses these days don't offer such superior customer service. You guys never mumbled away from me and made me feel like my little &50 order was important enough to you to handle my concern with a smile. Read moreI called b4 I went, and was told mixed male and female crabs, nice size, heavy. I bought 2 dozen, cost $57.00+ As i was walking to the car, I thought they 2 bags felt light, but went home with them.
I am finished the first dozen...the good: they are seasoned nice, not overly salty and just spicy enough...OK, that is the end of the good. They were skinny. So far, the smallest one, which probably should have been thrown back, was the only fat one. I am from New Orleans, and used to the seafood vendors knowing their product, and being upfront, but that was not the case. I was told there was a mix of male and female, well, they must have picked out every female and sold to someone else, cause i checked the other dozen, which i put in the frig. and not a female in the bunch.
Next time I want crabs, i will hike over the river and go to either tony's or montabanos, where I have never not...
Read moreBefore I purchased the boiled crabs, I asked if they were spicy and full. I was told they weren't spicy and they were nice size and full. When I got home which is not in plaquemine I found some small very filthy crabs. They even had what look like plants from the water attached to them. My first crab made my mouth burn my eyes water and my nose run. The second crab was empty there were two acceptable size crabs in the six that I bought. I'm definitely glad I didn't buy a dozen....
