All young people waiting on us. Nothing wrong with this BUT: A little training goes a long way. Problems in the kitchen tooo. Training would help all around. We had a party of 36. At 6 different tables with 3 very young wait staff and 2 bus people. Now in anybodys world this should have been enough. It's like all the pieces are here there just moving in all the wrong direction. Help them... be better...give them one experienced wait person. Teaching them. Even simple things would go along way. Ketchup, Refills, napkins, timing is everything. If your gonna hire only young people It's also your responsibility to help them be better. Don't just throw them into the deep end.. Look what you've got now... A beautiful facility and bad reviews. Management needs leadership also... who's in charge here.????

My first time eating at Johnny's and my husbands second. He enjoyed his first experience and wanted to share it with me. The service was excellent. Jenny, our server, was top notch friendly and attentive. Jay, one of the managers, came over to see how everything was and his sincerity and kindness blew me away. Food was very good. The giant pretzel was delicious, and, yes, giant. The cream of chicken and rice soup was also excellent. I had the shrimp pasta special which I recommend. We will definitely be back

A Culinary Delight at Johnny's Supper Club Johnny's Supper Club at Bowes Creek Country Club once again exceeded expectations with their culinary offerings at our August golf outing. The food was absolutely delicious, with each dish expertly prepared and beautifully presented. The service was impeccable, with the staff attentive to every detail. We're truly grateful for the opportunity to enjoy such a memorable dining experience.

The service was abysmal. After golfing we went for drinks and dinner. Not once did a staff member come to service us at our table. We had to go to the bar for EVERY request; water, food, beer, refills, etc. We also cleared our own plates and glasses. It eventually became an ongoing joke that we should tip our friend. Even when he brought back empties to the bar, the bartender asked him to wait so he could deliver the drinks we previously ordered (which already required us going up to the bar despite sitting at a table) . When appetizers were delivered, we had no plates or silverware. When entrees were delivered, they did not provide the side sauce requested, or the substituted side (completely missing), or the seasoning shaker. Three of four patrons got shafted. No staff member (par for the "course") checked in after the meal was delivered, so by the time we chased someone down, it was useless. Terrible, terrible, awful experience. When we finally asked for a manager, we were directed to the GM who happened to be dining at the bar, but not on duty. She was very apologetic and polite, but no change service wise. She came to our table even though she wasn't working but again, we cleared our own dishes after our entrees and had to ask for our bill after a long wait. You'd think the staff would have been more attentive after the off duty manager was helping out. It was at a low key, slow time, so no excuses for poor service. We were also asked if the poor service was provided by the bartender or the server... We never had anyone service our table; so both or neither?? The bartender did not leave the bar, and the server never came by the table unless they were delivering food (again, had to go ask the bartender to come take our order). We assumed the "server" was a food runner since they never returned when we asked for the missing accompaniments. Not sure what the issue was since it was not overly busy, but the entire experience was crap, and we are generally very chill people. Spending over $400, you'd expect...

It was a mess! My family booked the room for about 30 people 3 weeks ago. We arrived on time. They staffed one waitress for our large party. Our drink orders were taken 25-30 minutes after we arrived.... we had to go to the bar to get our own menus as they were never offered. Our food order was taken about an hour after we arrived. We waited and waited and waited...... we were finally told that our food would be out in 20 minutes. 30 minutes later.... no food, we asked for the manager who hid from us. The food for the kids (4 kids under 3) arrived about 2 hours after we arrived. Three or four people were brought their food and then we asked for to go boxes since we had been there for way too long.... Then the waitress told us the kitchen thought our order was canceled?!?!?! The manager finally arrived and her response to the whole situation (over 2 hours after we had arrived) was "you have not given me a chance to do anything for you." NEVER EVER again - Elgin has many places with much better food that can actually handle a group. (BTW, I was one of the people who got my food, my "medium" burger was overcooked and the pretzel bun was stale) I also just found out that the food they served to the kids, chicken fingers and a small burger were not cooked and my niece got sick – This place should not be...

Worst service I have had in any restaurant ever. We did not leave a tip. The supposed waitress had other servers and Bus Boys bring our food and drinks. My daughter and I got our food 30 minutes before my husband and son. It was supposed to be all you can eat fish and my husband had to wait another 30 minutes for that. No one came to refill our drinks.

My husband asked at one point when we could expect our food brought to the table (after 45 to 50 minutes). The waitress looked at him like she couldn't believe he asked her that question. "There are like 70 people here! I have no idea when it will get here!". This was delivered in the snottiest tone. Not In sorry for your wait sir, let me check with the kitchen. Can I get anyone a refill in the meantime?"

There was a party and a large group also. Their meals took forever as well, but the waitress attitude was insulting. The best thing about the visit was the poor overworked bus boys who were clearly embarrassed about how long we sat there without food. We won't go back. It might be a good idea to hire and train...
