Pizza Crossing Lancaster — Restaurant in Pleasant Township

I'm not sure if this was an off night for the restaurant or not but our dine-in experience was awful! Decided to stop in for some dinner before my nephew's basketball game on Monday night (1/27) at the middle school down the street and the service was absolutely slow and just plain bad. Group of us 4 and only 1 other couple were dining in the restaurant and it took an hour to get our food. My brother and SIL received their food at least 15 minutes before we did so they were almost done eating by the time we got our food (only a sub and personal pizza). There was a 3rd table that arrived 30 minutes after we did and they got their 2 subs before we got any of our food! Had to take half my sub to go so we didn't miss the basketball game. It was so bad we asked if they forgot to place our order into the kitchen. From our observation there was at least 2 people in the kitchen making orders. Tried to give them the benefit of the doubt but that was one of the worst dining in experiences I've ever had, let alone here at this restaurant. I've been a happy customer of this place for decades. Today I stopped in around 4 and sat at the bar to order a carryout pizza. I ordered a beer while I waited. I was looking at the menu when I took a drink without looking and realized the glass was sharp. When I looked at the glass it was chipped on the rim and sharp, but fortunately I didn't get cut. When the bartender came back for my order I pointed it out and she was immediately annoyed with me. She put a new glass in front of me and poured the beer from the broken glass into the new one, really? She then took the broken glass and put it down with the dirty glasses to be washed and reused. Then when I started to give my order she turned her head and leaned over the bar as if she couldn't hear me, there was no noise in there, but obviously she wanted to be sure I knew she was annoyed. After she punched in my order she went in the back probably to tell them what happened. I paid for my order brought it home and pitched it, who knows what they did to it. I called this location on November 23rd to see if they had seating room for a group of 12 on December 11th. I was told they would hold tables for us. They took my name and phone number and I assumed all would be fine. My family celebrate Christmas every year in Lancaster as it is a happy middle point for all of us. My husband and I and our two youngest kids drove 2.5 hours to get there, and 3 of our adult children and their kids drove between an hour and 1.5 hours to get there. At 11 am on Saturday morning we arrived and were met with a closed business. I completely understand staffing shortages, it is the way of the world right now, but good business sense would have been to call someone who planned on having tables at a certain time. I reached out to the company through facebook and while they were quick to respond they offered no real apology and stated they haven't been doing parties for over a year.
