Nacho cheese for fries and chili had to be the cheapest, grosses canned cheese ever. The hot wings were not hot, had no sauce, I would actually call them fried chicken drumlets before consideringthem hot wings. The menu is all kinds of incorrect. Wrong prices, bunch of items , combos and baskets are no longer offered. Not sure why they even gave us a menue we had to change our order 5 times before server actually agreed that they had the items we were choosing. The chili needed seasoned, fries needed salt. They gave me the top of the tomatoe which was weird. The server was very flat and obviously irradiated by everything. Used the super tiny bathroom and the toilet over flowed. 🤦‍♀️ Only good thing was after adding a sprinkle of salt the burger was pretty good. It wasn't worth leaving the highway and driving threw the little town to find this place good. But it wasn't bad like the rest of the meal.

I do not recommend this drive in - due to both food quality and sanitary reasons. It took over 50 minutes to get a burger, chicken sandwich, 2 order of pickle chips, and 2 drinks. The chicken was extremely overcooked and dry. The pickle chips were anemic in color and slimy due to not being cooked properly. The drinks were the best part of the whole meal, which is saying something. The server was wearing yoga pants and flip flops. Which is not safe, nor sanitary to wear into a kitchen according to the Health Department and OSHA. Building isn't clean and menu was a laminated paper that had grease on it.

What a fantastic hidden lil drive in burger diner. The waitress will come to your car like an old school car hop and don't worry you will be out of there before you know it. They were on top of everything! Prompt and thorough waitresses, reasonable priced burgers, outdoor seating and fantastic food with huge portions. Thank you ladies for the fantastic service. The burgers are old school beef patties, not the pressed frozen stuff. We will be back for sure...it's worth the 30 mile drive for this one, one way. For sure. Thank you you all. We are stuffed. Even enjoyed sharing a banana split. 😊

The food was soo good that we brought our family from out of state while on vacation to eat here. It was a terrible mistake, we had thought nothing about skin color until we sat down, from that point on our entire view changed. We realized quickly that the employees and other customers didn't want us there. The food was still good, but we will never return. It was just so embarrassing to be the person who recommended a place to eat and then see family be treated that way. We were encouraged to sit outside for our comfort, it was in the 90's and Flys were making themselves at home on the tables, but we chose to sit inside the air conditioning. Now we almost wish we had sat outside. ... .... for our comfort .... ... because now we know what that means.

Just looking back on this trip, and I am ashamed that I took my family there & I wish that I hadn't. Still makes me sick...

Just pulled out from Cookees.... without ordering bc they're slow as he'll not to mention rude as hell!!! They came to our car and brought out a menu once we asked for one....proceeded to sit there for over 10 minutes without the carhop even coming to ask us what we wanted to order...my husband decided to go inside and they hatefully told him there's two other ppl in front of him that still needed to order....guess they didn't realize we'd been outside in our car waiting to place our order...the food there is overpriced, not very good....but it's close to where we was...dont go there...drive a few more minutes to Mound City and go to the garretts (used to be Jayhawk inn)...very yummy, polite staff, and cheaper...going...
