Lubertos Bakery & Deli Inc — Restaurant in Plumstead Township

I would give this place no stars if possible due to the most disgusting customer service. We were having car trouble and had to pull over to the closest parking lot, in which case was Luberto’s Deli & Bakery. As we were waiting for a tow and someone to pick us up in the heat and traveling with our 4 year old, my daughter had to use the restroom. We took our daughter inside Luberto’s so that she could use the restroom. There was a man working behind the counter, so my husband explained our situation and kindly asked if we she could use their restroom. The man went to get an older woman with glasses, who appeared to be a manager. The older woman came out and immediately raised her voice to us that it’s takeout only and she couldn’t use the bathroom! She seemed so mad that we even asked. My husband kindly tried to explain our situation to her and that only my daughter, who just turned 4 years old, had to use the bathroom. My daughter was holding herself and in tears but the older woman refused to let her use the restroom. We offered to buy something so that maybe she could use the bathroom because there was no where else close to walk in the heat. But still the lady was so rude to my daughter, husband, and myself. My daughter ended up urinating herself because she couldn’t hold it any longer. Thankfully I carried wipes and a spare change of clothes for her. I’ve been coming here for the last 8 years due to their great pastas and baked goods. Today I came in for black and white cookies as a gift for my father’s birthday, but when I went to look in the bag they had given me brownies. I believe this was because the woman with the glasses, who I think is a manager was loudly getting confrontational with a young teen girl who respectfully kept trying to deescalate her anger. This is not the first time I have seen the women with the glasses picking fights with young teen girls when I have come in. I have seen this happen multiple times throughout my years of coming here. If the food wasn’t so good and on my way home from work I would have stopped coming. Today the lady with the glasses seemed to be to busy trying to fight this girl that she had given me brownies instead. Since it was so awkward seeing this full grown woman pick on the teen girl. This place is so far away from where I live and it is so worth the darn drive. Their Italian food is absolutely authentic And delicious they’ve Got these blueberry lemon cheesecake bars that are To Dye For, all their cookies are superb. Their cakes are so delightful. Their chicken salad is so addicting along with everything else Ever tried their breakfast sandwiches, their pizza it’s all just so wonderful. And the staff is so wonderful as well. They’re always so friendly and sweet. They’re very kind. They’re very fast on giving you service and helping you. They don’t just have you sitting around while they’re talking on the phone and doing nothing they are just so wonderful. I love this place. I hire you recommended.
