I was so excited to eat there. Last year we came and the food was so good. We were visiting Minnesota again this year and I ordered the same thing as last year. It was not the same. My dad ordered a crispy chicken sandwich and when he got the food it was a cheap bun with chicken strips on it. He picked it up and it all fell apart immediately. He was so upset they also got my Uncle’s order wrong at first. My brother and my aunt got a pizza and it was a frozen pizza not fully cooked. My dad also asked for plates for the pizza because they gave no plates. He simply asked and the person (I think the owner) said ok you don’t need to give me attitude. He did not give attitude just wanted some plates. They also served my 3 year old cousin her food last from everybody else (you should always make the kids food first). She didn’t get her food until we were leaving. We also asked for silverware and it was plastic, not able to cut thru the breading of the chicken strips, and when we asked for condiments they said that we could get them in the OTHER room. The food was not as good and not the same and they also did not turn any lights on for us as we were eating in the dark. Nothing is the same as it was and the owner was very disrespectful. DO NOT put your boat on their rented dock slips. It will cost you major expenses. Their dock broke two times on us and caused major damage to our new pontoon. $16,000.00 the first time. The cleats we were tied up to broke right off his dock. See photos 4&5. We have the dock cleats that broke off his dock. They advertise security cameras, etc. NONE The owner told us he was too busy cooking in the kitchen to fix the dock and his maintenance man was on vacation. After two weeks he called and said he fixed the dock, however there still were missing cleats to tie up to. He suggested we move to a different slip that he said wasn’t broken. We double secured it this time and also added bungee cords besides our ropes. In one week, the same thing happened to the slip we moved too. We removed our boat from his dock and have contacted the owner several times to report the damage and asked him to reimburse us for the cost of the slip. The owners of this resort are scammers. They have false advertising of what their docks look like on their website. We live on the lake and thought we would give the Floppy Crappie another try. We specifically chose to go there because they have an arcade for the kids. Apparently it was closed because they had an event scheduled for the next day. This is the second time we’ve gone there only to find out that the arcade was closed. The first time we just left because the kids were disappointed but this time we decided to try the food. Unfortunately, it wasn’t good. We ordered burgers (medium) and they were all over cooked (very well done) and dry. The restaurant feels like an afterthought to the bar and everywhere you look there is sign after sign with some type of promotional deal, rule, or fee. It sort made us feel like we were being nickel and dimed.
