Nice community store centrally located, beautifully built and designed. There is plenty of seating upstairs and there are tables downstairs as well as lovely outdoor spaces. The folks working were polite, friendly, and helpful. The food, we were in time for lunch after 11AM, was tasty and prepared as requested. Accompanied by thick homemade style potato chips, my roast beef sandwich was served in a takeout recyclable container. Pickles were neatly tucked under the paper liner of the container thus eliminating any soggy factor. We chose to sit upstairs and were pleased to have our order delivered to our table. Great service! The space was clean and bright with enough space between tables and the comfy couch area that privacy was possible. Clearly a space that encourages people to converse, play board games, and enjoy a relaxing meal. I know they have programs but have never attended any. The space downstairs was full of local products, good food, and humming with activity. If you’re in Poland, Maine, stop...
Read moreA few weeks back I stopped in here for the first time and was very happy to find a place with absolutely fantastic bagels. So good I got a dozen and ate them for a couple weeks. Fast forward to this past weekend and I rode up again and got 6 bagels, two everything and 4 onion. That night I made myself a sandwich with one of the onion bagels, took a bite and was in shock. The bagels which were so flavorfully and chewy now had no taste and were crumbly in texture. Literally the worst bagel I have ever had. I also tried one of the everything just to make sure it was not a fluke and had the same result. I am guessing that a bad batch was made. I get it, shit happens. However, it is better to disappoint customers with no food to sell than to sell food to people that may turn off potential new customers. Since I do know they can make good bagels I will definitely go back again this weekend to give it...
Read moreWe love Poland Provisions! This is always our first stop on our hiking adventures as we leave Auburn. Their breakfast sandwiches are our go to. We usually order the jalapeño cheddar bagel with sausage and egg! Sebagel makes and sells their bagels here. They sell breakfast until 11:30 am and the kitchen is closed from 11:30-12 to allow them to switch to their lunch service. We aren’t ever mad if we happen to miss breakfast because they have lunch specials featuring their freshly smoked meats! So far, we’ve tried their pulled pork breakfast burrito, Reuben sandwich and brisket sandwich. Our favorite so far has been the Reuben! The staff is always friendly and the store is filled with fun locally made items. They also sell locally raised meat, wine and beer. We usually grab a pack of Aprés for our hike, which is always helpful! They also have a very large and cozy seating...
