Today I tried for the first time going to Casita Oaxaqueña the place looks like it may have good food, but the ambiance leaves much to desire, bright neon cardboard signs in hot pink and yellow telling of all their rules and regulations, âwear a mask until your food arrivesâ in English and Spanish wait outside for your order, and such very ugly. The menu looks great but they couldnât offer me cut potatoes that I like with my breakfast, the waitress was a little stressed I seen it in her eyes, she sounded like a drill sergeants assistant, I didnât like the vibe so I bounced and the waitress stressed the words âhave a nice dayâ with a sarcastic tone! Drove down 5 min to Tropical Mexico đČđœ Hell what a difference the waiter both were friendly and could hear them telling other patrons âpĂĄseleâ âhola buenos dĂas, âclaro que siâ I heard laughter and immediately felt right at home, then I was taken back to my youth and my grandma (rest in peace) in Mexicali Baja Califas, my waitress is probably in her late 50âs, very sweet comforting eyes and she said â quiere un cafecito mijo?â She brought the menu didnât see my papas rancheras, and asked if I can customize my breakfast and if the had potatoes sheâs said (her eyes smiling), we do how do want them cooked, and yes we can mix and match your breakfast! Holy smokes! Iâm in paradise she said she can add habanero!!! The results...
Read moreWalking into tropical Mexico is like going into a museum of Mexican culture and history. On the walls they have iconic and historical portraits painted on the walls and greeted within seconds of opening the door. It's a welcoming atmosphere accompanied with a warm welcome, so you already feel included welcomed and special. I have been coming to this place for as long as my youngest kid has been alive, 12 years. They do not forget faces, but I do tip generously. Foods good but I'm a foodie and it can always be improved or improvised. I'm picky with my food to say the least. Service is amazing and has gotten a lot better than amazing service over the years. Your greeted the minute you step foot into the establishment and the bussers make sure to start you with drinks before the server comes to your table. Throughout your visit you are checked on frequently and by different people serving and bussing tables. I always leave with my family in a better mood full and satiated to say the least. I tip my hat off to you tropical Mexico, for the food providing excellent service and delivering authentic Mexican food. One commodity or amnesty that is needed are beds for a napp after a hearty yet filling lunch or dinnerđ€Łđ€Łđ€Łđ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł...
