El Mesón Sandwiches (El Tuque, Ponce) — Restaurant in Ponce

Fast service, but don't expect your sandwich to be grilled, toasted or even hot. This is our second time here (first time was in July 2024) and had the same issue; asked for all the sandwiches toasted and ALL of them were still cold inside and the cheese had not melted in any of them. We even returned one to be re-toasted... they gave us a new one in the same NOT toasted condition again. Coffee was just lukewarm. Flavor wise the food was just ok. The crema de maíz (breakfast cream of 🌽)was delicious and the nuggets were good too. We gave this place a 2nd chance because the first time it was packed with the line out the 🚪 door and we thought the order was mediocre because they were rushed. Today they were not packed and it was just as mediocre as the 1st time. We have been to other El Mesón locations and have not had these issues. The restaurant was clean, the bathrooms were clean too. We sat outside, there was a nice breeze and the tables were clean. When traveling by, we recommend you skip this location if you like hot...

One of the best sandwiches in the world its worth the price since the quality, taste and quantity is a fair price the only that need to make changes is to have 4 people making sandwiches at the same time one cashier front need to trow and makes fries, sorullos and drinks and one cashier in the drive thru for faster the time asistant manager should clean front area for to know who the quality of food is going and if need to clean front or bathrooms make asistant manager take the sandwich maker stand until it get back from finished also need to help make fries, drinks etc while on duty have to have 2 full time asistant managers and one full time manager in each Meson for a better fast service. Also parking lot need to be modify and need to add another order speaker in drive thru to take 2 vehicles orders at the same time reducing it to 1/2 waiting but making sandwiches take also time that's why it need to do...

They definitely deserve 0 stars for this evenings events. I spoke in Spanish and confirmed my order, she read it back to me too. Then she tried to speak English and somehow our order was missing a sandwich when we got to the window. It also was missing all 3 drinks. We had to go back in twice for our drinks because they still couldn't get the order we paid for correct. Then had yo drive back through the drive through to reorder the sandwich that was missing. This has been the only disappointing place I've eaten at here. The coffee is super watered down. The Monte Cristo is nothing like one, just a ham sandwich with cabbage on it.
