Sun Borincano — Restaurant in Ponce

Good measures taken regarding Covid (temperature - masks - distancing)👍. I ordered "Chillo al ajillo" (I asked for the garlic sauce on the side - just in case) and it was all AWESOME... Very nicely seasoned, perfectly cooked, flaky, yummy fish😋. It comes with a variety of sides included in the price -- I wanted mofongo (trifongo) which anyway was additional but I didn't mind paying xtra because it was also good. Their natural juices -- wow, wow as natural as they come!!! We had Tamarind (tamarindo) & grapefruit (toronja) it seemed freshly squeezed with lots of pulp (which I loved). The fried yellow plantains were good also. Sadly somewhat dropped the ball on what My hubby ordered: white rice (salty), beans (looked somewhat watery-clear) the "bistec encebollado" he felt lacked flavor--needed more vinegar and the onions (which he loves) were undercooked. Still we would try our luck once more, it could have just been a one time flop regarding the "bistec encebollado" because they seem to know their fish......

I went there and found a piece of hair in my order I quietly and carefully told the waitress if she could change it and she did and on the next order I found AGAIN another piece of hair so when I ask for the check, I ask if she could give me it for half of the price since I never really ate it. She couldn’t do anything until the owner came over and allowed but the owner wouldn’t come and took forever and we ask the waitress to tell her if should could come quicker because we were in a rush and She never came so the waitress paid half of it and we gave her the money she paid as a tip and when we did we left but I came to look for my friend and the owner crumbled the money in front of me and said that the waitress didn’t want it and I found it very disgusting of her to do that and I wouldn’t recommend anyone to go here because you might also find hair in your order and they...

Un día de las madres que parecía un día normal. El restaurant está semi vacío. Mi esposa pide smoothie o piña colada, le dijeron que no había. Al rato le despachan una piña colada a una mesa más abajo. Cuando se le cuestiona dice que estaban "limitadas". Se pide dividir los tickets por familia, que tampoco lo podía hacer "para que toda la comida saliera a la vez". Mi hija pide mofongo relleno de pollo en salsa criolla, se lo traen al ajillo. Lo devuelve y se lo traen de vuelta el mismo mofongo al ajillo con salsa criolla por encima. A todo esto, dis que porque tenían mucho rush. Cuando me voy a ir que pido un manposteao para llevar con el chillo frito que me había sobrado me dicen que iba a tener que esperar un montón de tiempo. Cómo si echar un poco de arroz en un platito chino fuese una gran destreza. Lamentablemente no vuelvo. En Ponce hay demasiado sitio para ir a comer para tener que bregar con ese tipo de...
