DINER BEWARE!!! This business serves as a perfect example for the reason it's ALWAYS IMPORTANT to check and verify (especially. fast food) advertised pricing vs actual cost. If a lawyer were to read this, I wonder if there are possible grounds for a lawsuit. I visited this Establishment tonite to order take out. I walked in and looked at their overhead menu board. They are clearly advertising "$5 Whopper Jr. Duo" Below the promotion, more than a handful of Whopper Jr. variations are listed. The promotion says, "Pick Any Two". Easy enough, right? No brainer. You're "lead to believe" that you are getting a "Deal". I read this and then proceed to tell the cashier behind the counter that I'd like to order 2 Bacon & Cheese Whopper Jr's for $5 with an order of Fries. .... until she gives me the Total. The Total strikes me as a bit high for what I'm buying and I question her. She quickly points out that there is an additional $1 charge per sandwich for the Bacon. Oh, really? It doesn't say that on your Menu board. I can read the promotion right there, motioning to the overhead menu board. You have this specifically advertised at 2 for $5. She quickly follows up with, "Well, we're in the process of changing out our Menu Boards". I said, but your menu board isn't missing... it's right there! She then tells me that she does not control the pricing of any menu items. I tell her, "okay then, hold the bacon", let me just get 2 "Whopper Jr's with Cheese" for $5. I can see that the variety of "Whopper Jr. with Cheese" is also clearly listed as a choice (for Pick 2) under the Promo of "2 for $5". She rings that up and then notices me watching the checkout screen. This time, she speaks up and informs me there is an additional $.30 per sandwich charge for the cheese. And, quickly follows up by telling me (again) that she is not responsible for the pricing of the menu items. I look back up at the overhead Value menu. I ask her, "Does the $1.89 cheeseburger that is advertised on your Value Menu also carry an additional $.30 upcharge because of the cheese on it, too? For a third time, she begins to tell me (again) that she does not set pricing. I abruptly assure that I'm not accusing her or believe she's responsible for setting Menu prices. I simply tell her that I just want to know. She says she doesn't know, so she rings it up. There is no additional $.30 upcharge. I conclude my purchase. Imo, this "practice" they're perpetrating, simply put, is blatant false advertising. A $2 "hidden fee" on a "2 for $5 Deal" is a 40% markup. I don't see how this can be viewed as anything less than Fraud or Theft. But, how many patrons, after seeing this promo, have visited this Establishment and purchased food never realizing they've been "taken in" deceptively? How does the Owner of this Establishment justify such a shady practice in exploiting the trust held by the general public toward this Brand? I don't believe Burger King corporate offices would sign off on this scheme. So, chances are, if you've visited this place recently and ordered this promotion, you really didn't get the "Bill of Goods" you thought you were being sold. And, if that's the case, how does it feel to know now that you were...
Read moreThis place is horrible. Not only did they remove my review for other people to see. The manager was hateful inconsiderate, disrespectful. And very unprofessional, all I'm saying Is that Im past this point and that everybody on these reviews, say this company saying about racist comments and all that stuff is so very True , people need to get a lawyer sue this restaurant and I feel that us Americans need to stand up to these corporations that think they own everything because they have money and the food was terrible. I posted pictures of my food and I'm going to do it again. The reason why we have an option for reviews is so that we can prevent other customers to go through the same that you went through. It's all right to have public knowledge of these things. I made a review on Saturday. October 4th. And it was deleted. The managers I delt with was anne And if you go through the reviews , you can see that she comments on her On her place employment, bringing the stars up. So I guess now.
