VERY expensive for what is served. Service was poor. Had no silverware when appetizers came out, waitress forgot to come back to get our meal order. We had to get a manager to do it and get us. Food was great for the most part but quantities were small, especially the size of the sides. I ordered the smothered baked potato. It was small and only had about a tablespoon of cheese and bacon bits. The sour cream was bad too. I ordered a 1/2 pound of crabs and only got 4 legs. My wife got the Seafood Platter. It said frog legs, fish, shrimp, crab cakes and something else. It was 1 piece of everything except for the shrimp and the squiggly stuff. Really? Only 1 frog leg? It was small and greasy, bland and tasted boiled. Ordered crab cakes for $6.49 and only got 2 SMALL pucks about the size of a silver dollar. Tasted great but tasted more like dressing than crab. WAY TOO MUCH for that too. The total bill was $85 for 2 adults. Not once did anyone come get our dirty plates either. We had to stack them up on the table just to make room. We will NOT be...
Read moreWe just ate here for lunch for our first time. It was Saturday at 1:00pm so we expected a wait but there were very few people there (they had around 160 seats so they could handle a crowd). They provided hush puppies (a bit on the sweet side) and cheesy-biscuits to our table when we sat down. I had the “Senior” catfish fillets. They were nicely seasoned and the fish was moist and nice. The cornbread batter was a bit “heavy” but not horrible. The potato casserole was good - like scalloped potatoes with more cheese. The baked beans were good and not spicy at all. My friend had the pulled pork sandwich. It had a generous quantity of meat. The only complaint was that it was a bit too salty- but not horrible. The bun was jalapeño cornbread - which is what it tasted like but it looked like buttery-toasted Texas toast. The homemade potato chips were excellent. The service was excellent and very attentive (I think her...
Read moreI got the sampler platter and my wife had the dirty sirloin. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable and quick to refill our drinks but not a constant presence which can be annoying. Little bit of a wait time for our food but they were fairly busy so no biggie. We had fried pickle planks as an appetizer an cheddar biscuits and hushpuppies to keep us sated as we waited. On my platter I must say, there was a frog leg, I don't have much experience with frog legs, only having eaten them at the Chinese restaurant in town before. But, I hesitatingly tried it....holy hell! That damn frog leg was one of the best things I've ever put in my mouth! It had been marinated in something good and then battered an deep fried an was just...amazing. The rest of the platter was damn good too. I tried my wife's steak as well, a lol bit salty but had a damn fine taste and was cooked perfect. We will...
