Of all the places in Poplar Bluff, this is the only one I can trust. My dad and I never got sick there, their prices are quite reasonable, they always wiped off our table before bringing out our food, and we got plenty of refills; sometimes even too many, haha! Sure, their waffle may get under cooked or burnt when they're real busy, but they'd always replace it for me if I pointed it out. I won't lower my rating for some minor mistakes that can happen in any restaurant, especially if the service was always so nice and the place so welcoming. It does tend to get quite crowded, but that just tells me they're doing a good job to attract that many customers. All in all, I love this place and will continue going there, and my dad will too, seeing how he loves their food and service, and is a smoker who's allowed to...

So, we really can’t give it a true review, since we didn’t stay long enough to sit down at our table. We walked into the service-station-converted-to-a-restaurant and immediately smelled musty, moldy mildew. My wife wanted to leave instantly, but I told her to just walk in. The restaurant was small but busy at around 0930. We were told to find a table, so we moved to the side room where there was more space. The smell turned to cigarette smoke smells and I noticed a side room with the entry covered by a sheet for a curtain. Inside was a man sitting in-front of what looked like some kind of gambling computer machine. So we decided right then to leave and...

Local favorite. Place was clean; Service was fast; Prices were low. Food was typical for small-town, non-franchise: Plain, heavy on salt, grease, and sugar. Look for ordinary, no surprises. Poplar Bluff is serious "country Living". With little competition, most places have no incentive to do more than just "get by". -Actually, compared others in this area - these folks are a bit ahead of the crowd. Also, on this particular stretch of road, they are almost the only choice. Their friendly attitude carries the day. Plus - the place (rare in rural Missouri) is Non-Smoking (unless you are using the slot machines). I...

Earl's is a great little place to eat, great food and service. My wife had the fried chicken which was excellent and I had 2 eggs, sausage, hashbrowns and a biscuit with sausage gravy all for about $8! The eggs were cooked just as I requested and the hashbrowns were golden brown and crunchy outside yet tender inside. Food of this quality at these prices is rare. Well worth your time!

Sat on the back and it was a bit cold in there as it was the last time we went. Made me wanna just hurry and eat and get back to some heat. Food was amazing and they really give you your money's worth!!!! $11 for a omelet, hasbrowns, and biscuit and gravy....can't ever leave there and still be hungry. Very clean place and friendly people.
