Taco Bell — Restaurant in Poplar Bluff

Horrendous wait. Almost 20 minutes in Drive through, finally received our food...granted we ordered quite a bit, but they were not busy at all....between the 5 chalupas (all with chicken), 5 soft shell tacos meat and cheese only, 1 burrito Supreme, 1 soft Taco Supreme, 2 MT Dews, 1 pepsi, 3 frozen cherry drink slushes....not 1 thing in this order was correct after a 20 minute wait. In order to speak to them as they were very dismissive and rushed us in the drive through I went inside to return the food and point out the issues. Another 20 minute wait while I could hear the staff verbally griping and being disgruntled and degrading me as I was waiting. I asked how they planned to compensate us for a 40 minute wait with a car running outside, and was just glared at. I asked to speak with a manager and the response was they were currently in the office but on an important call and could not be bothered so they presented me with a shift leader type(?) I explained my frustrations to her and she just seemed overwhelmed and said she was new to her position and wasn't exactly sure of what to do, and would I mind calling back in the morning and speaking to the manager. I replied yes I minded as I'm here right now and I'm the one being taken advantage of so I'd like some resolution, money back, free food, an apology...really anything to make me feel like a valued customer. Nothing was resolved and I was urged to call the manager the next day. As I got in the car and my spouse pulls off we start handing out everyone's food which from wrappers appear to be correct. All chalupas were again beef, we paid extra for chicken, all tacos that were meat cheese only were just meat only. Burrito Supreme had beans, red sauce, lettuce and about a dime size of sour creme on it. Taco Supreme was meat and cheese only with what appeared to be a ranch type mayo based sauce on it. Drinks were right this time. So I refused to go back again, but called to speak to manager the next day only to be met with a busy signal, called around lunch again, busy signal. Called at 7pm, busy signal. Called the next day, busy signal. Called operator to attempt an urgent line bump so it would disconnect their call and connect mine. Operator responded with "the business has either shut their phones off or purposefully removed it from receiver. It is not a matter of a busy line at this point". This is when I gave up as I will not see resolution. I had heard a few negative stories about this Taco bell (ironically from the north Taco bell here in town) but never did I expect this. Steer clear, your better off taking your cash and wiping with it...you will get more value for...

We stop here a lot because it's on the way out of town when we are heading out . They are always friendly and great service. Yesterday my van overheated and broke down in their drive thru lane. At the window. They went above and beyond helping me to my van to safe location, making sure my son crossed the street to safety and telling us we could sit inside as long as we needed until someone could come get us. They even brought me and son water incase we wanted it. We had bought drinks but the lady forgot that we did. As we left they said bye and wishes us luck with everything.

I will always go here to this location. They could have been angry that I was blocking their drive thru but instead they helped me when they didn't have to....

On May 19, 2025, at 6:23 PM, I visited Taco Bell and was frustrated by their ordering process. Customers were forced to use the self-service kiosk, but those paying with cash still had to go to the register to complete their order. The staff member refused to take orders at the counter, leading to a dispute with my friend over this policy. If we’re expected to place our own orders, what’s next—preparing our own food in the kitchen? Additionally, the chicken nuggets were disappointing, clearly pre-made and left in a warmer, resulting in a soft, rubbery texture instead of being crispy.
