Upon coming into Blackberry, I really enjoyed the decor and small quaint space. I was greeted by the waitress and told I could sit wherever I wanted. I picked a nice window seat with my hubby. She delivered us coffees in a timely fashion. The coffee was a tad old, but I didn't mind. We finally figured out what we wanted, and she put in the order. I will be perfectly clear and say the only reason I gave service 3 stars was for her performance. The gentleman that brought out our food is the reason I am giving this place a 1 star review. When we were served our food, he had asked if we needed anything else, and my hubby had asked for mustard and Mayo. The guy proceeded to stick his arm in front of my face and juggle through the condiments on the table only to find there was not any mustard or Mayo. He then said, "Whatever! And stomped away. He brought the condiments my hubby wanted and walked away. I had realized by this point that my hashbrowns were burnt and crispy. I couldn't eat them. When we tried to get the gentleman's attention, he was dismissive. I finally decided to leave. When my husband went up to the guy to inform him we were leaving, he found the guy talking bad about us to the cook. I am not sure if this guy was having a bad day or something happened to him to cause this behavior, but it is not my responsibility to deal with behavior like that. I won't be coming back because my peace of mind matters greatly, and the cost of the menu items is a little too crazy for...

It was a quiet afternoon well past lunchtime, so I was the only customer. There is outdoor picnic table seating with an order window; no indoor seating at the time of this review.
They have a classic menu with burgers, sandwiches, and salads (see pics of menu.) I went old school and got the Deluxe Burger with onion rings. Delicious! A shady picnic table was the perfect place to sit for a relaxing lunch.
Easy parking and access from highway.Definitely looking forward to the next visit to try something else on the menu.
SECOND REVIEW: Second trip through was equally great! I got the BLT w/fries to-go, and loved it! They now have in-room dining. Bathroom was clean. Staff is very pleasant.
They have WiFi! May want to stop and use it, as cellular coverage is weak around...

Let us begin with the biggest pain point. This place is about 30-35% over-priced, all things considered. $40 for salad, sandwich, and coffee at a tiny diner in the middle of nowhere with non-existant service is waaay too expensive.
There were only 2 other people in the restaurant. The staff to customer ratio was even, yet still the service was less-than-bad. For a $40 meal, I should not have to pray that I am able to finally get your attention. I have had consistently better service at highway rest stops... (psst... there are no diners at highway rest stops).
If you are hungry while in Joyce, Wa, there are 2 other options about a quarter mile east, or go just west of the junction of 101 and 113 to the Hungry Bear...
