We so-o-o-o wanted to like this new restaurant in Port Ludlow, but sadly the food was a disappointment. We have eaten several times at their other restaurant, Casa Mexico in Keyport, and thoroughly enjoyed the food and was hoping it would be the same. We ordered separate dishes and each was bland (even though we do not like overly spiced food). This review is not to turn customers away before they try it, but rather to give the owners a head’s up that they need to make some improvements or they will lose the support of the community. The staff was nice and the plates generous, so definitely has that going for it. We will try it again as it might have been an off night. Would love to see them succeed in Port Ludlow!
ADDENDUM: We returned to try a second time, and the food was great! So, it must have been an “off” night when we were first there. We ordered differently than before and our meals were flavorful and memorable. I have added two more stars to my previous review to reflect the update. Again, we are so happy to see a new (and good!) restaurant come to...
Read moreTonight I dropped in for a spur-of-the-moment dinner. The weather was lovely so I enjoyed the fresh air at one of the many outdoor tables. My waitress was pleasant, friendly, and did a great job bringing my food quickly and checking up on me from time to time. I got the shrimp tacos, which were made differently than I'm used to, with quite a bit of red sauce. It would have been easier to cut them up to eat, but I still managed to pick them up and eat them by hand as I prefer to do. The platter had large portions of refried beans, Spanish rice, and some lettuce salad. Flavors were pretty good. I treated myself to a peach margarita which was excellent! I will be back to try other items on the menu and will revise my review if the experience warrants it. I feel like I'm at the 3.5 star mark right now, although I scored this restaurant a 3. Stay tuned!
Update: Tonight I took some out-of-town guests here, and we all really enjoyed our food and drinks! I have a new favorite dish: the seafood burrito. The filling was delicious, but the sauce was addictive. Upgraded my...
Read moreThe food was okay. Not horrible but definitely didn't taste like authentic Mexican. But the reason for 1 star was the absolute terrible service. our waiter had an attitude from the minute we sat down, to the time we left. He threw our silverware down, threw the chips down. After having two rounds of chips he asked if we wanted more, I politely declined saying I needed to save room for the food but I thanked him for the offer with a smile on my face, yet he still turned around, shrugged his shoulders, and shook his head in a negative way. Was absolutely uncalled for. This was after we had to return a drink because there was leftover lipstick from another patron, but before we found hair in the food. the other servers/workers seemed nice enough but the young guy serving us absolutely ruined the experience. Pretty sure the mexican place attached to the has station right next door would have had better service...
