Sushi Neko PSL — Restaurant in Port Saint Lucie

I deliver for Ubereats and had to pick up an order from here a few weeks ago. I thought it was a little different that there was a sushi spot located in a gas station.. but once I went inside I saw a cute little set up in the corner of the store and it smelled great! Fast forward a week later, I had two deliveries in a row and once I dropped the orders off I went and asked my friend would she be willing to try some sushi from the nearby Sunoco. Knowing that she is way more adventurous than me (food wise), she instantly said yes! I was a bit skeptical still but Mikko was very friendly and helpful! He’s honestly a jack of all trades and it was great talking to him. We ordered and the food was quickly prepared and done in no time. We had it to go but it quickly became our best decision ever to try! It was the best sushi we’ve had in town, hands down! Everything was so so fresh and the prices were unbeatable, especially for the quality of the food. Even though he was very busy, he was friendly, quick, and very good at what he does. Sushi Neko is truly a hidden gem and we will definitely be back for more. Make sure y’all tip my boy something real nice when you do...

Response to owner 10/10/24: Response: Why did you even say this? I came nearly 2-3x a week until getting sick from your food both my partner & I were sick. Like I said I'm not coming back & this didn't encourage me too. That night I remember the texture of the volcano roll being very strange. Neither of us could eat anymore than a few bites. Weird way to misdirect blame for getting me sick. Edit: I unfortunately have to share I got worst food poisoning of my life from their Volcano roll. I was a regular customer, came in multiple times a week since the owner ran it. But since this happened I can get over it and I haven’t been back. I’m sorry guys but that’s crazy. I swore up and down by Sushi Neko but I was sick for a whole month and I lost 20lbs. I couldn’t eat normally for weeks and I mean weeks. forget that. -08/2024 ——— I’ve lived in the area for 20 years, I’ve eaten at every sushi restaurant in the area. This is the best; never ever let’s me down & may be the only place in the area with spam musabi. They’re open late as can be, I just called in an order at 11pm on 4th of July...

BE AWARE OF THIS PLACE!!! I've been eating sushi For most of my life. .It's one of my favorite foods.. Recently, I started trying different sushi restaurants in the Port Saint Lucy area and found some favorites around. However, this was the worst ever! BE CAREFUL of this place. I had their " Protein and Ocean Trio rolls," which gave me diarrhea and stomach cramps.. This was my dinner, and things got worse in the morning with the infection. Places like this, that doesn't handle raw fish properly or have very poor hygiene, can cause food poisoning. I recall one of the rolls not smelling good and the rice was not that fresh either (things I would take seriously in the future) I WOULD NEVER WANT TO RISK MY HEALTH and so would never set foot or ordering from this...
