So I have a love/hate relationship with this Domino's location. It's the only one in our area first off, so if we want Domino's we have to go here. When they are on point, the pizza and service is great, I'd say 4-5 stars. The problem is they are rarely on point when we go there. There are times when our pizza(s) are completely messed up. I've gotten to the point where I try and confirm before leaving the store (we always do pick up) to ensure that they are correct however I don't always catch the screw ups each time. The issue with screwed up pizzas is you either catch it at the store and have to wait a long time for a new one or you catch it at home at which point your only option is to head all the way back to the storage or get a store credit. We end up always opting for the store credit because while we are in their delivery area, with traffic and construction it still takes a solid 10-15 mins to get there so by the time I get there and back with a new pizza, the existing stuff is cold. It makes me wish pizza places would offer to delivery the new pizza for free when the storage messes up.
The last time I was there, I left when the online tracker said everything was done. I get to the storage, I'm told that it'll be a few more minutes. 15 mins later I finally hear the person at the oven announce that my pick up order was done (he called out the name on the order). Nobody else in the store moved to get the boxes I had already paid for and had been sitting for 15 mins waiting for. A lady did come by to stare at the register, then walked over to where my pizzas were at to stare at something else, then grabbed a sauce cup to put in a delivery bag then she leisurely walked out of the store. It would have added 5 seconds to her walk of 10 steps to snag my boxes. I waited another 5 mins for someone else to come up from the back. The best part about this is, I checked our pizzas and the toppings were fine but I missed the part where one had BBQ sauce on it instead of the normal sauce. We caught that at home then my wife called the store, was hung up on three times before being told "well you can have a store credit".....
It really makes me wish there was another Domino's near me because I like the pizza, I just don't like the Portage store.
tl:dr - pizza is good most of the time, service at this particular store leaves a lot...
Read moreSuper busy but staff operated well and kept working hard with a positive attitude. However, it was a little weird none of them were wearing gloves, at all. Not once even when making the food. A couple of the men had super hairy knuckles and it was super gross watching them making food without gloves. They would wipe their hair or face with their bare hands then go back to making food. They also would wipe their bare hands on dirty smocks then again, go back to making food bare handed. Not sure if health code changed or what, but I will probably skip ordering from here ever again. Pretty icky to watch. Also, please do not put in the system that my order is "in the oven".....when 35 minutes later you hadn't even started making my order yet. I was there watching it made. Received it an hour and ten minutes after ordering.....one single medium pizza and wings. Took 70 minutes to make that. I blame corporate honestly. For the absurd delivery expectations. You put that much pressure on people during a pandemic where delivery need is at a maximum.....of course the crew can't properly maintain a brick and morter operation when corporate is out of touch with reality and clueless on the needs of staff vs demand of customers. More worried about clever commercials and IDEAS vs actually making sure what they offer is even practical.
Delivery time guarantees? COOL.
ACCEPT WHEN THEY CANT EVEN OFFER DELIVERY AT ALL BECAUSE THEY ARE UNDERSTAFFED AND UNDERSUPPORTED...
Read moreBAD MANAGER AND BAD SERVICE! I called at 11 and told them I am a construction worker and only half 30 minutes for lunch. I needed to be back to the job with pizza at 12. I asked if they can have two pizzas and a pop done by 11:50 for sure and they said yes. I get there and there is another lady in there and she told me she has been waiting since 11:45 and it’s now 12:05. She finally got her pizza at 12:09 and asked for compensation and the manager got a huge attitude and told the lady I will not give you compensation for my hardest work. He said it very rude and it made me step up and tell him not to talk to her like that and don’t get an attitude with her. He was the management and she is the customer. He then goes on talking about how it’s our faults and they are busy and we should have ordered for earlier times. I told him I did at 11:50 and she at 11:45 and he said some excuse about using the internet to order and I said I called you! No internet and you told me at 11:00 I would have 2 pizzas and a pop by 11:50. He didn’t want to hear it. I then got my pizza at 12:13 and missed most of my lunch. The manager that worked today on Friday, 1/25/19 at noon needs to get reviewed for his job as manager. He did a poor job and I think the lady infront of me and myself should get compensation for the late pizza and the service. It says it on their pizza box if you arnt satisfied then they will make it right. Let’s...
