Nino's Italian Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Porter Township

Came here from a long hot day trip at Lake Tobias. There were 7 of us, 2 adults and 5 children. Children were amped up because of running around and seeing all the animals. The staff were extremely patient and courteous with them. The bathrooms were exquisite, and very clean. The pizza we ordered was phenomenal, as was the 2 different French fries with cheese we ordered (one with mozzarella and one with cheddar)! I got half ham and pepperoni and they add just a hint of Parmesan on top and it was wonderful. Now I plan on doing the same with my homemade pies I do at home on occasion. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for good Italian style pizza that doesn't break the bank. Also, just to note in 2022 (during very high inflation), it was quite obvious they didn't cut back on the cheese or sauce or any of the quality other reviewers had mentioned as well. I can't say the same for other places. I will be coming back here again. It's 53 minutes from my house and worth every minute of that drive. Cannot recommend this...

Went downhill...used to be really good a few years back. I don't know what happened, but the place has really lost its touch. It's not authentic Italian whatsoever. Mostly frozen and prepackaged food. Also, I see the other reviews about the soup. I had the same experience. I ordered French onion soup and it came out in a plastic bowl. It was just broth with dried out onions on top. I told the owner about it, she flipped and told us to leave. Unfortunately, I forgot my phone there. I kept calling it and it went to voicemail. If there was a zero I would have put that , ordered broccoli chicken Alfredo and it came put smelling like a dirty diaper and did a tiny taste and it was not good , the owner came out and was very rude to us and said there must have been something wrong with me because she tried it and it was good , well all 7 of us in our party must have something wrong then lol then they didn't even offer to make us something different they said you shouldn't have ordered it if you didn't like it , they still make you pay for it .
