Jenny Lynn's Cafe — Restaurant in Porterville

Let me start by saying the food looked and smell great. One star for the service. Friday 2/14/25. Noonish. It took 20 minutes to get water and coffee. I asked for silverware and creamer. The young lady decides to make someone else’s Italian sodas first while coffee turned cold. The staff is wandering around aimlessly. The gentleman helper behind the counter wants to look around the room instead of helping and filling coffees. I kept hearing everyone around complaining about how slow service was this day. This place was alright I suppose. The food was nothing super special but it was tasty and I have no complaints about food. The service could use some work. I'm a server too and I get that sometimes you don't want to come to work, but if the customer can tell that's the case, then you're doing something wrong. Both servers were a little grumpy and probably could be just a tad bit nicer. Food is great! Waitresses not so much. On St Patrick’s Day we were served a quarter of raw Cabbage with Corned Beef. When we told the Owners Wife that just happened to be serving us. She said to take it home and finish cooking it. Wrong Answer!!! I don’t take anyone out to eat either for Business or Pleasure and allow this to happen. Especially not to a Senior Citizen.
