I couldn't give a lower score to this course. I purchased a coupon from Deal Caddy for unlimited golf (actually, I purchased 2). They were $25 each and expired on 05/15/2014. My golf partner and I wanted to make sure we used them, so I called to book a time on 05/15, but the Pro (Ron) said that they were closed due to a tournament. When I explained that I had the coupons and asked if I could extend them a day, he said no. I asked how I was supposed to play when the course was closed and he replied, "Well, there were other days before the 15th." No only is this answer completely unacceptabel, it's the worse example of customer service I've ever experienced. As a VP of customer relations, I see poor CS all the time, but Ron should be ashamed to call himself a Pro golfer - he's bearly a cashier. Since the course is a rediculous mess when it comes to hole lay out and maintenance (maybe Bobby Jones should have stopped by to help you), I would highly recommend that you choose any other course...ie... Quarry Ridge, Lyman Orchards, Traditions - courses that actually know what there doing and aren't living in a good old boy, screw you if you don't like it, world. I am now a former player at...
Read moreThis is really a great course in excellent shape and always well maintained. My one complaint is how slow the speed of play is. The people here are a little clicky and sometimes they play really slow. Before people get out on the course, they need to be told to be concious about the speed of play. You can't be on your 7th shot on a par 3 and then spend 10 minutes looking for a lost ball while there is no one in front of you for 4 holes but a long line of people backed up for 4 holes behind you. The starter here is really a great guy, but has given up on trying to speed up play. His efforts in the past have been a total waste of time. He encourages people to speed up or let others play through which is effective until he gets out of sight when they go back to hacking. So frustrating! Maybe the answer is to chill out and just play 4 balls...
Read moreBeen golfing with league here for several years now. The course is really seeing some improvements and is in pretty good shape. Unfortunately, it appears management has been shifting priorities away from customers. Here are some observations: 1) Red, White, Blue flags were replaced with yellow flags, no longer giving an indication of hole placement. Got to walk half way to each hole to see, slowing play. 2) Not enough drinking water on course. Played 5 holes in 95+ degree weather before saw first water. 3) rain checks for prepaid league members need longer time to redeem, most expire before used. While it does not appear to be a huge monetary savings for PGC to remove these amenities we had enjoyed, it certainly has not gone unnoticed. We are contemplating moving our league next season to a course a little...
