Jalapenos Mexican Cuisine — Restaurant in Postville

We had some good take out from JALAPEÑOS when we visited some friends in Postville.

There were 11 of us & we got some take out. We had the Chicken box which had fried chicken sandwiches, tenders & salad & French fries. We also had a taco box with beef steak street tacos & a burrito. This also had beans & rice & some ROASTED JALAPEÑOS! Then we topped that off with an order each of pork smothered fries & beef smothered fries.

My wife had the chicken totally sandwich which she said was good but was just a chicken sandwich with tomato & avocado. She would have preferred something chicken taco or burrito.

Thus is a very different experience than it used to be. Actually sat where the old kitchen used to be. Alas, no tienda or lengua, or tripe soup. Freshly remodeled and bright, it is decidedly brighter and less decrepit than the old interior. The food was great. They hit all their marks and it was presented well. If you like the old Mexico experience, you will also miss the old place. But there is nothing to complain about here. Just a very different experience. Clean and...

This is our second time here and both times, the food has been amazing! The only reason it's not a 5 star review is the service. We waited for drinks, we waited for food, and we waited for our check. If they clean their service up, this us easily 5 stars, no problem!
