Server She never said her name. Her apron listed Brianne. She was however pretty attentive. Checked on us onfrequently. Except when we actually wanted something, like our check or a box.

Food The food here is okay, the quality is dropping. the flautas were chewy (under cooked) and the sopa pia was too hard (over cooked) to eat and enjoy.

Overall Much improved since the last time we were here. Good job! Have your servers introduce themselves, especially if they plan on providing good or great service. If not. Certainly don't tell us who you are. Then we will know that you don't take pride in your service. The give a free sopa pia on your birthday. It took 15 minutes. Geesh. Paint colors and decor were great. Mezcal dip and beef taco were greasy but good.The chips and taco shell were well done, which i like. Beans and rice were good too. The server was having a bad day. orders were mixed up with another table,when it arrived the order was incorrect, then the tortillas were flour when they shouldve been corn.had to ask for silverware. Very good & authentic Mexican food for a reasonable price. The carnitas definitely won me over. My wife tried the chicken oaxaca, not seen on many menus around here, & it was excellent. The Panama T-Bone plate was a winner with our 3rd diner. Will be going back many times to try the other items on their large menu.

Update: We have been back quite a few times & El Ranchero is still as good as...
