Lots of cozy atmosphere! Welcoming! When we entered, there was music playing. It wasnt too loud but makes it hard for my husband to hear so we were guided to a quiet booth and the waiter turned the volume down. A huge menu with at least 6 variations of nachos and many variations of burritos! Prime rib, vegan entries and salads were among the offerings. Hamburgers are served during the week. Service was friendly, attentive and fast! We waited 5 minutes max for our orders to arrive on piping hot plates! I didn't get a chance to take a photo of the tostada I sent back, but it was a soup of grease and watery refried beans all along the bottom of the plate. It looked like throw up.
I asked for 2 shredded beef enchiladas as a replacement, and was brought this. This watery substance surrounding my "enchiladas" is terrifying. Last time I checked enchilada sauce is red. Not a weird light orange. Disgusting.
Thankfully my son's taquitos were decent enough for him to eat.
I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. It doesn't matter that this is the only Mexican restaurant in town, go...

Ordered take-out that was packaged excellently and was hot (also, whoever put chips on top of the sour cream and guac on the nachos so the tin foil wouldn't touch the toppings - you are a genius!) The food was delicious and plenty for the price. If you're looking for dinner or a bite to eat while passing through Prairie City, you have to try El Cocinero! 5/5 stars.
