Backroad Bar-B-Q is now Bruno's Roadhouse — Restaurant in Precinct 2

First time customers and sadly disappointed. Arrived shortly after their noon opening. We ordered the sample platter which offered five different meats. The ribs would not be ready until 3 pm and then we were told the chicken and sausage were not ready yet either. 2 out of 5 meats was a bummer. To their credit they increased the portion of both meats. Yet there was more disappointment, the brisket was dry and tough, the french fries were warm at best and the pulled pork was quite fatty. The baked beans were nearly mashed and dry & gummy. The coleslaw had little taste. All in all -- a let down. We have no plans to return and would not...

Pathetic! to say the least. Went Sunday 18 Aug 2024. First off there were no ribs, and you could only get brisket, pulled pork or Prime rib on a sandwich, you couldn't order as a stand alone item and they didnt have any Prime rib for a sandwich or otherwise. The smoked chicken you could only get on nachos. It says alot about a barbecue place when the first entree item listed on their menu is a cod sandwich, which I'm guessing is frozen and deep fried. Ribs are only on friday we were told. And the prices are outrageous...$12.50 for a sub par brisket sandwich. Don't waste your time with this place if your looking for a good...

The waitress was very nice and upfront of which foods were good to try. We sat outside and there is a cat that apparently lives there. It was all over the outside bar and tables. The cat was gross and it was gross seeing it walk all over the outside establishment. Do not get the ma n cheese or the chicken. The mac n cheese you couldnt eat and the chicken tasted chewed up and smashed back together. I dont usually like to leave negative reviews but honestly the waitress was the only good that was of this experience. Over $100 for food left there. I hope this gets rectified as none of the food was...
