Don't Eat Here. My wife, I and two friends came here Friday April 29th and got the worst meals of our lives. At least my wife and our two friends did. My half rack of ribs were very good. But, the Fish and Chips special was a different story. Three pieces of fish for $13.99 should be he of the highest quality. Each piece was about two inches square. It would take all three pieces to equal what you would get at any other restaurant. Plus, the fish was overcooked as well as the French fries. The fries were very skinny and should have been cooked less than normal fries. We could have ordered all you could eat fish for $15.99, but who would want all you could eat of poor quality fish?

My friend ordered the salmon that came out under cooked, and in fact was raw. He sent it back asking for a properly cooked piece of fish. Would you believe the second piece was even more raw than the first. What made it more evident that the cook knew nothing of how to properly cook fish, after ordering boneless wings in place of it, they came out later with the sent-back-salmon and said that they refired it. This is not a steak, fish should never be refired. When doing so, the middle may be proper, but the outside will get over-cooked. Such was the case. The salmon had burnt edges. "No thank" was his response, "Just bring me my boneless wings." What a laugh that was. Those were over-cooked and were the size of chicken nuggets, and completely dry inside.

We couldn't wait to get out of the place. When the bill came, that was the final straw. My wife's drink was bourbon and 7 and I ordered a bourbon and club soda. The bill read . . . $3.75 for well whiskey each and 50 cents for sprite as well as 50 cents for club soda. I have never heard of such a thing. Normally drinks are billed as a one item per drink. Also, I wanted my baked potato with everything. I realized that it may be billed as "loaded". But they charged $2 for a pinch of bacon crumbs and $1 for a pinch of shredded cheese. Ridiculous!! I was to get two side dishes with my meal. I ordered the baked potato and the mornay mac and cheese. They charged me a $1 for my mornay mac & cheese which such have been free as part of the meal. Needless to say, a tip was not included. This was the first time that I can remember that I didn't leave at least a 15% tip, I would give this only one star and that would be for the ambiance. Oh, and one final note, not once did the owner, manager or cook come out and apologized for the poor quality and how much we were disappointed after reading so many...

Went on valentines day. Made a reservation for 645pm. We get there and we wait patiently. Somehow the 7 pm reservations got seated before us. Thats fine accidents happen. But it gets worse from there. We get seated and 20 minutes later we are barely able to order our drinks. I also ordered our appetizer. Thank goodness we did. The mozzarella cheese sticks were hot and amazing. A long wait later we get to place our food order. Pretty simple a hot dog, bacon cheese burger with fries, and a 10oz sirloin with a loaded baked potato and side house salad. While we are waiting there are 10ish tables out of that 10, 5-6 already had their food.

It took them 4 trips to bring our food out. Also the "manager" told me as my cold food is being served to us that they are out of baked potatoes, what would i like instead so i ordered fries. As im looking at my plate with food i didnt order, im wondering what else is wrong with our food. So i went to the bar to request i speak to a manager. Yes i went full karen. I saw her tell another employee that i wanted to speak to the manager. We waited 10 minutes before i got up again so i relayed my complaint to the sweet bar tender. As im walking back another waitress asks if we want a box i told her we arent happy. We explain everything to her and told her we just wanted to leave. I even asked her what doea my order look like she relays an 8 oz sirloin with green beans and fries. I ordered a 10 oz sirloin with house salad and fries (since they ran out of baked potatoes) She acknowledged us, listened and let us leave.

They said they were slammed but when we got to the dinning room there was about 10 tables with couples there.

We were told to come back when it isnt so busy to give them another chance.

100% wont do it.

Its sad that everyone has raved about this place but OUR first visit was beyond disappointing.

Best advice is go when they arent busy to get the true experience...

We've driven past this place a bunch of times. Today we decided to go there on the spur of the moment for an early dinner.

Since it was a Sunday afternoon, there was no live music and it wasn't crowded, which suited us fine.

NOTE FOR THOSE WITH MOBILITY ISSUES: When you enter the building, you must descend a flight of stairs to get to the restaurant. Alternatively, you can walk down a fairly steep asphalt ramp on the east side of the building and enter through the restaurant's back door. There are no railings on the ramp.

My husband had the "Copper": Prime rib and Swiss cheese on a 6" hoagie roll with a side of au jus ($16.99). The side he chose was onion rings with honey mustard sauce.

I had the "Smoke Stack": Slow cooked BBQ pulled pork on a brioche bun with a side of pickles and extra BBQ sauce ($12.99). I chose a side salad with ranch dressing.

Both were fresh and tasty. My husband said the onion rings were especially good, and he brought several home to eat with tomorrow night's leftovers.

For dessert, my husband had cherry cobbler and I had a brownie topped with vanilla ice cream and both chocolate and caramel syrups. The brownie was enormous, and half of it came home for tomorrow night.

The total with tax and tip was $70. The service was prompt and friendly. Also the view was beautiful (see photo). We will...

Very cool little place. We came here for Super Bowl Sunday, toured the lodge, but found the basement Cafe (where the SB LIX party was) very hospitable. Food was great. This place is definitely a hidden gem. The idea of having a weekend staycation with a hot tub in a cabin, is definitely a future trip for us. Cathy was our server, she was great, very hands on with history of the place and had the menu down. This is going to be one of our new lunchtime and diner hangout go-to places. The Mozzarella sticks were crunchy. Thickly breaded awesomeness. The burger didn't last long! The beer battered onion rings were fabulous . Deep fried Shrimp were excellent. Definitely a place that changes the fry grease often and keeps a clean place overall. The history and nostalgia hanging on the walls upstairs in the lodge and downstairs in the restaurant are just an added bonus to the whole character of this place. We look forward to visiting again soon. Looking forward to trying the cobbler!

We love the Cellar at Creekside! Fish-Fry Friday is the best & we also highly recommend Taco Tuesday & the chocolate mousse cake. We look forward to trying more of their delicious menu items & daily specials. Most weekends have live music & other events. The atmosphere is relaxed & the staff is top-notch. Thank you John & Sabrina for so many amazing menu items & for bringing such a classy, fun dining experience to the area! It’s well worth a visit, if you haven’t tried it.
