Yo gustó mucho! I have been going to this place for over a decade and it has never disappointed me. Some people like to try new things and so do I, but whenever I’m hungry and want some delicious food in a timely manner without all the hassle of over crowdedness, exorbitant prices, and questionable service, I come here. What makes this place the best restaurant in Calvert County is their speed. Time is money and these people realize that. I have never waited over ten minutes for my food, and if I did, I did not realize it when I was snacking on complimentary chips and salsa. The Faltas are the best! If you order Chimichangas, than order the Faltas, they are just bigger ones. The drink selection is amazing, especially if you like different types of Margaritas. The only con is the demeanor of the place. It’s not the best, but what can you expect from a little Mexican restaurant in Calvert County. I give this place 5 stars, because they never have let me down and always provide substantial food, service, and experience throughout my visits.
Furthermore, the waiters and waitresses always help me with practicing my Spanish, even though it is...
Read moreSo we were out that way to see our kid at college and saw the reviews for this place. I'm a big Mexican fan so we had to go. Anyhow the outside looks kinda dicey which is always an adventure. But you know the reviews usually can be trusted. So we go inside and the place looks great. Clean well taken care of and amazing food. I had the chicken chorizo which was amazing and really hit the spot. Even better I had asked if they had a mole (mole-eh) dish. They did but I didn't want enchiladas. So the waiter threw in a side cup of the sauce and it was really good. I used the whole thing on my chicken chorizo dish Trust me. I search for the perfect mole like others search for margs. This place is good. Go. Now. And tell your wife not to judge a book by its cover. And maybe try the mole sauce. It's a funky flavor you have probably never had (chocolate based with spices and other curious flavors). It's not for everyone but since trying it years ago it has made me love Mexican...
Read moreAfter much hesitation, we finally ventured to Mexico for some Mexican food. We have tried multiple other restaurants in the area and even as far west in Hagerstown. Needless to say we should have gone to Mexico much sooner! The carnitas plate that I got was amazing! The quantity of the food was just right and the plate wasn't overwhelmed with rice and beans like most other places I have been to. Also, the street tacos were just as close to the street tacos I've had in Tijuana and San Diego. I have lived in the Southern California area for almost 20 years. The service was great. We only got our servers last name but he told us he normally works the bar, but Kruz' (not sure if the spelling is correct) service was top notch. In addition, the blended margaritas were awesome! They made so much they even gave us a Styrofoam cup of the extra instead of throwing it out. Without a doubt we will be back back for some pretty damn authentic...
