I went to this horrible Dunkin Donuts location with my father at 7:50am this morning. My dad was ordering food via drive thru and one of the employees was making fun of my dad's accent through the drive thru. However, they didn't realize that my father and I heard them mocking his accent when he was ordering a vanilla chai through the speaker. We were so disgusted by the employee actions that we immediately cancelled the order and pulled up to the drive through window and asked to speak to the manager. There was a young man at the window and I asked him why it was appropriate that employees were making fun of my dad's accent. The man denied it and we asked to speak with a manager. When the manager came over to the window, we explained to her what happened, one of the young girls behind her was laughing. Told the manager that I did not find her employees actions professional whatsoever and it was offensive. One of the people laughing was saying, "it ain't that serious" and was also mumbling comments.I immediately became upset and told her that she is rude and unprofessional. Not only do I find her comments ignorant but the manager did not say make an attempt to de-escalate the situation.
I will never visit the Dunkin Donuts on Eddy Street ever again. The level of disrespect shown towards my father and I was unacceptable. Since when did it become appropriate to make fun at drive thru customers for having an African accent? Makes me truly wonder how often they mistreat those who have an African accent or any accent for that matter. One would think that this kind of foolishness wouldn't occur in South Providence as there are many people from various ethnic backgrounds living there and believe it to be culturally diverse. However, my dad and I were shocked to learn that employees in a professional setting would behave in such fashion despite being in a multicultural neighborhood. All sorts of unprofessionalism and acts of microaggressions being committed at this establishment which is absolutely bad for business.
Please don't go to this location. The manager doesn't does not know how to properly agrees conflict let alone de-escalate a situation. Not to mention, her staff are ignorant. They all should be retrained on how to interact with diverse...

Read moreI was having a great morning until I came to this dunks. while placing my order an employee (female) rudely interrupted me and gave me my total without me finishing my order. so I proceed to the window like she said to do so. I got there an mentioned what happened and that I needed one more coffee and they told me I cannot place an order there. I explained to her what happened and told me she "cant do anything about it". I paid my total and when she gave me my change back she tossed it on my hands and most of the change fell on the ground. she did not apologize or did anything about it.
