Avoid at all cost. Rating is based on honesty and integrity......stopped at this little taco restaurant while traveling through. When ordering we were given a menu and noticed a good variety with fair prices. Placed our order for 2 taco salads and a kids meal. After receiving our taco salads they were small with alot of beans and with little lettuce or beef but with that being said the pricing in the menu being so reasonable we just decided to order a 3rd one to split between the two of us. After finishing our meal and paying our bill the price seemed awful expensive based off menu prices so we asked for a receipt. After comparing the receipt with menu prices there was approximately a 38% increase based on menu pricing. When confronting the owner he just said they had a price increase due to food cost and referenced a note on the wall. Did briefly see the note of increase but didn't realize that the menus that were given to us were inaccurate prices and was also not told during ordering these were old menu prices and the increase was not reflected on them. Very shady and dishonest. Will not be doing business again due to principal and/or...

This is a small and very dated restaurant but it seems clean and the staff is friendly. The chips and salsa were brought out with my drink and on the table quickly. Sadly, the chips and salsa were okay at best. The salsa seems to be just tomato purée with hot sauce added. The white sauce, that also came with the chips, tasted like ranch dressing, spices, and a sweetness that is likely sugar. The carnitas dinner came to the table quickly as well. It was served with rice and refried beans on the side and two flour tortillas. Tender and juicy, the pork was cooked well and was easily shredded with a fork. It was full of flavor and smelled wonderful. The rice was light, fluffy, and tasted wonderful. The refried beans were also seasoned well but they were gray in color (though the picture doesn’t reflect that...

Stopped by for dinner while staying for the night at the Fox Mountain Inn, located just steps away. Good selection of entrees and sides, well presented and tasty. We were pleased to see that this seems to be a favorite spot with local residents and law enforcement, so we always take that to be a good sign of quality food and service. Prices are very reasonable and we departed very satisfied with our meal. Not the fanciest place on the planet, but we'll take quality over atmosphere every time. Update (08/28/25): Back for another meal, and tonight's was every bit as wholesome as two years ago. Lucky for the locals who can come here regularly, and we just wish we didn't live 250 miles away so we could visit more often. Food quality is excellent, speed of service is great, and we departed very...

Great Great food. AUTHENTIC Mexican food (I don't want Californian). Fast service, Great GREAT selection, I have Never seen some of the CREATIVE plates they make here, like the assorted enchiladas, never seen before in Mexico, Texas, or any other US state. Creativity earns customers!!!!. Chips and salsa are OK. But, I came for the main plate. I had a dinner plate for lunch. I told them to "finish" cooking my flour tortilla! Why, cause I want to come back!!!! Thank you guys. See you soon....

A very authentic and reasonably priced Mexican restaurant. It is family owned and operated. It is the building right next door to the Fox Mountain Inn. The restaurant is so new that it has the old sign of the former business up there. It was a short walk up the street from the love's truck stop. Great food and very friendly staff.
