Nestled in the heart of Putney, Vermont, The Sweet Spot delightfully blends together a simple menu of locally sourced drinks, eats and treats set in a charming backdrop you'll think you read about in one of your books. Whether you’re cozying up with a cup of tea, catching up with friends, or just passing through, this café is a hidden gem worth discovering.

While I was there I learned that proceeds from the café support local children’s programming in Putney, giving folks even more of a reason to continue to shop local and support a great cause.

I'm local(ish) to the area and had what was arguably the best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever tasted—a locally sourced egg and cheese sandwich with hand-foraged mushrooms. I’m already planning my next visit in hopes it will be available again. I can't wait to return.

This place is a total gem! I stopped in and ended up having one of the best breakfasts ever — their green eggs and ham open-face sandwich is unreal. The eggs had this amazing herby pesto flavor, the ham was crispy and delicious, and the croissant was perfect for soaking it all up.

Also, the coffee? Absolutely outstanding. Super smooth and rich. I would go back just for the coffee! — not your average café brew.

The café itself is super chill and cozy, and the staff were really friendly — you can tell they love what they do.

I’ve been here a few times and I’ve never been let down. The first time, I got the vegetarian breakfast sandwich with pesto. It tasted great, and the price was really good too. A few days ago, I got a wonderful breakfast burrito. It was a special - on the spicy side (yum!) and it was probably one of the better breakfast burritos I’ve had. The baked treats are also super yummy. I got a lemon square which wasn’t a square, it was a circle but oh man - it was really freaking good!
