I went to this restaurant with high expectations, but unfortunately, I left very disappointed. It was Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. and the place was quite crowded. We had to wait about 10 minutes for a table, which was understandable, but once seated, the service was very poor. Our waitress completely forgot about our table and took a long time to attend to us. When she finally arrived, she apologized, saying the restaurant was busier than usual. We decided to try their recommended dishes, thinking they would be the best, but that wasn’t the case. The appetizer had decent flavor, though it was a bit tough. The fish taco was very basic: a piece of fried fish, poorly plated, and bland. The pink sauce was the worst part. The burrito wasn’t much better—the mix of flavors was off—and the fries tasted only of oil. We left very disappointed and, honestly, we won’t be coming back. Hopefully this review helps others think twice before visiting.

On our Travels through Quincy, Massachusetts we stumbled upon this Hidden Gem 💎 Off the Hook 🎣 Bar & Grill and decided to have dinner. The Hostess was Friendly and inviting . Our Waitress Ann was Great she took our Drink đŸč and Appetizer orders right away. Appetizers: Coconut Shrimp, Lobster Rangoon, Bowl of Clam Chowder, Fried Calamari, Dock Fries and Scallops wrapped in Bacon đŸ„“đŸ˜‹ Everything was Delicious 😋. Ann was bringing them out in a steady stream 😋đŸč which worked out perfectly. Entrees: 2 Baked Stuffed Seafood Trios , Hooked Up Stuffed Flounder sides of Red Bliss Mashed Potatoes and Sauteed Spinach 😋. So Tasty and Yummy 😋. The place had a fun and friendly Vibe which put the dinner experience over the Top 😁. Our Waitress Ann was Awesome as was the entire staff 👍⭐ Highly Recommend Off the Hook Bar and Grill. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Pan seared cod over lobster risotto. I kid you not... this was one of the best seafood dishes I've ever had. (I eat out a lot). Fish was lightly breaded, every piece was moist. Even the end of each piece. Risotto was nicely cooked, good cream coverage and the lobster chunks were very tender. Zero rubbery lobster.(Many places suffer from that issue.) Even the asparagus was cooked just right. Nice flavor with the perfect combo of soft on the palate, but, still had the snap of the bite. I've paid 2X the price for less portion and less quality in some high end seafood restaurants. If you haven't been to Off the Hook Bar & Grill ... I highly recommend it.

Our server was absent & not friendly at all. Came for Mother's Day lunch wasn't even super busy and she was very unwelcoming and not happy to be there. Took forever to take our order, took forever to deliver drinks and we felt as if we annoyed her when we asked for waters. We finally were able to order appetizers and she never gave us silverware - we ate everything with our hands because no one came up to us to ask if we needed anything. Not blaming the server alone entirely, any one of the workers including management could’ve touched our table and didn’t. After we finished eating, the only time our server came to our table again was to ask if we wanted more drinks. We were initially planning on ordering more but with that experience we collectively decided not to - we just wanted to leave. Couldn't get her attention again when we wanted to pay or anyone’s attention where finally we had someone from our table get up to find her and give her a credit card. We only tipped because we also work in the industry and understand a zero tip affects everyone in the tip pool. I will say the two appetizers (bruschetta and the fried onion) we ordered were phenomenal and tasty but the overall experience left a bad taste in our mouths. Maybe it was an off day, maybe we wanted a nicer experience for the moms at the table, but based on the poor service provided, we will sadly not...

I don’t throw around five-star reviews lightly. But this neighborhood gem earns it with flying colors - and buffalo sauce.

First things first: Cole. If charm were a currency, this man could buy the restaurant twice over and still have enough left for a beachfront villa. Cole is not just a waiter - he’s a hospitality wizard, a drink psychic, and a man who remembers not only our usual orders but somehow, my wife's favorite dipping sauce from three Tuesdays ago (it's the chipotle sauce, excellent with Off the Hook's french fries). He glides through the room like he’s hosting the Met Gala, and somehow makes you feel like you’re the VIP. If Cole ran for mayor of the neighborhood, the election would be over before it started.

Now, the food and drinks.

The buffalo chicken pizza is what dreams are made of. Then there’s the buffalo chicken sub - Grumpy’s style - which I can only describe as dangerously addictive. And the drinks? Let’s just say I’ve become a bit of an evangelist for what I call the Hough’s Neck Lemonade. It’s not on the menu, but trust me: once you’ve had it, you'll be asking for it again and again.

I highly recommend Off the Hook. Ask if Cole can be your waiter when you come in and be sure to order buffalo chicken something - just please don’t take our Tuesday night...

We had the most wonderful experience thanks to McKayla truly the best server and bartender we’ve ever met! I brought my grandkids in for a little family outing, and from the moment we were seated, McKayla went above and beyond to make everyone feel special.

She was incredibly attentive, patient, and kind especially with the kids. She helped them choose food they ended up loving ( kids fish and chips and kids chicken tenders and fries) made sure they were entertained and comfortable, and even brought out little extras that made them feel like VIPs. As for me, she made a perfect drink i believe it was called a blackberry mai tai it was mouth watering !!! , offered great menu suggestions, and was so warm and friendly that it felt like we were visiting an old friend.

McKayla has that rare gift of making everyone young and old — feel welcomed, cared for, and completely at home. Her professionalism, charm, and genuine kindness turned an ordinary meal into a special memory for all of us.

Thank you, McKayla, for making our day so amazing. We’ll absolutely be back and we’ll be asking for...
