The one and only reason I will give a two stars is because— #1 my kids did say they enjoyed it there especially the skating and laser tag—, #2 star was for Donavan because the kids loved the fact that he actually interacted with them during laser tag.
So now to fully explain my experience. We stopped here after leaving a sporting event and thought this looked like a fun family place. For $16.99 per child you get 2 hours of slides, skating, laser tag, and inflatable axe throwing. My elderly mom and I decided it would be perfect for us to talk and sit while the 6 kids we had with us could play, I also had my laptop so I could read and do some online work-(that was a joke though because the Wi-Fi did NOT work at all). So as I’m paying for all the kids the young guy said oh it’s also $5 each for you 2 adults, I explained that this was not acceptable since I was spending over $100 for the children, my mother and I should not be charged to “sit at a table”, they explained that was because we had to pay to supervise the children we brought- mind you, half the time they played laser tag and we couldn’t see them anyway, it was literally up the steps and behind black doors you could not see anything after the door closed behind them. They do have TV screens that was supposed to be views of the laser tag rooms but it was actually blurry static . So I asked the young male cashier to go get the manger please and he says actually she’s the owner and I’ll get her she’s right behind me here. So I spoke to the owner who basically said “sorry” yes we have to charge adults. I then said my mother and I would just sit at the door or in the car and I was told that “wasn’t allowed” either lol
Additionally,——-Needless to say we paid the extra $10 she insisted on-and for a brief moment even considered not leaving this bad review (that I told the owner upfront I would leave one most definitely if she charged us to “sit” in the building )because the kids said they did enjoy it- however as I was leaving the young boy working the register (the same one who went and got the owner originally for me when we arrived) yelled to me while in the middle of checking another family out, “It was such a pleasure having you here today” sarcastically while laughing out loud……. so this made my decision to leave this review so much easier!
I myself have owned a small business in a small town, I understand how hard it is to make it. But a word of advice to the owner** when you see a family arrive with 7+ kids (who will definitely be spending over $100 bucks just on admission alone ) and who voices concern over paying extra for the mom and grandma to “use a chair”, the polite answer from a SUCCESSFUL business would be- “Seeing as you obviously are paying for 7 children and voicing concern about the additional adult charge we will waive the extra $5 adult admission to sit in our chair, as a thanks for supporting us by bringing a car load of children who not only played for 2 hours for $17 per child, but who also purchased food, beverages, and dipping dots...
Read moreI brought my 2 children here about a month ago and then visited last weekend for a birthday party. All the staff that I encountered have been quite friendly and accommodating, however they appear to be understaffed as many employees were working several areas simultaneously. Before these most recent trips it had been a couple years since I had been to Blazers, but was astonished to find that the prices are about double what they once were. I do not feel that the current price is warranted for the amount of time and activities available. There are only 4 inflatables (Not including the small one in the Toddler area). The skating rink is bigger than I would have imagined, but the skates are not in the best shape and are due an upgrade. The arcade is pitiful. After getting a card to play the games, you find that 1/4 of the games/rides still require quarters. There were at least 4 games that were out of order. My 4yo daughter was handed a $10 game card (Without our knowledge) and she swiped it numerous times on a single game that did not work, but depleted her card entirely. I then went to reload it with an additional $20 and found that their automated machine is out of order as well, so I had to see an employee. I then went around with my daughter to ensure she did not deplete it again and found 2 additional games that took our credits, but did not let us play (1 being the mallet swing). I then played the stop on red game twice and won both times, yet no prizes dropped as was intended. It appeared to me that the rotating carousel of prizes was jammed, as it rocked back and forth slightly, as though it was trying to dispense a prize. For the rest of our game card, I allowed my 4yo to play whatever she wanted. She ended up with a total of 52 tickets, which was enough to receive a super tiny plastic slinky, for $30. The concession stand is about what you would imagine for a place like this. We had gotten Buffalo chicken, Pizza, and slushies, which were all pretty good. Overall, I feel that this is a great place for younger children (2-10yo), but it's grossly overpriced. I would most likely return for a birthday party, or if I had a coupon or something, but I would avoid their...
Read moreWe held a birthday party there. The price shown was $299.00 but in light smaller print at the bottom of the webpage it says that’s the price if you pay cash, so I got charged $319 instead. I requested the 2 pizzas at a certain time. They were late and the 2nd one got left in the oven too long so they remade and said it would be out in 6 mins. After 20 mins I went and asked about it and waited another 5 mins.
The arcade games are not included and there are no tokens included in the party price, so you are paying $300 for 3 bouncy houses, a very small Laser tag area, a very small rocking climbing area, a very small skating rink, and 2 inflatable plastic Velcro Ax throwing areas. If you load tokens on a card and don’t use them all, you will have to pay $5.00 to come back and play the arcade games. I had to pay $5 for a 71 yr old family member to come to enjoy cake and sit in a chair for the 2 hrs. He didn’t use the WiFi or even the restrooms. Adults should not have to pay unless they are going to participate.
I can honestly say I will not return there unless some changes are made. It’s too expensive for what you get. They need to get rid of the $5 non participation fee. You should be allowed one adult per child fee. There should be arcade game cards included in the birthday kids price. If the last party slot is 6:00-8:00 then they shouldn’t close until 9:00, so kids have enough time to play arcade games and cash in their tickets without making the staff wait to go home.
The staff were all incredibly nice and helpful. The bathrooms and play areas were clean and...
