This was a Red Lobster price tag for a McDonald's type location. Not worth the money. We started with a half dozen Rockefeller oysters as an appetizer. The meat in the oysters was extremely small. We complained about it and the waitress just said that those type were really small. My wife and I both agreed that a half dozen small oysters should not cost the same amount as normal or large sized oysters. I ordered the speckled trout with asparagus. The trout was bland and the asparagus tasted like it was on the verge of spoiled. My wife ordered the red snapper. Don't know what that tasted like. It came with the shrimp grits which were really good. The red snapper was advertised as "topped with scallops". It had a total of 1 scallop on it. We complained about it and the waitress brought out a small dipping cup with a total of 2 scallops. So now we're up to 3. We had to ask for kids meals since they do not list them on the menu. One of the kids ordered shrimp pasta. Of the 4 meals that were ordered, the shrimp pasta looked and tasted as we thought it should. The other kid ordered a seafood quesadilla. It was divided into fourths. She ate 1 fourth and gave up. She said that there was so much cheese on it that it was not very good. I ate the other 3 fourths the next day as leftover lunch. There was 1 tiny popcorn shrimp in the 3 fourths that I consumed. Seafood quesadilla??? Hmmmm. Needless to say $90 for 4 people to eat did not deserve anything more than 1 star. Also, after the Valentine's Day markup dinner, where the prices were jacked up for the holiday, I was already a little sore with that place. We will not return. If we do, I will...
Read more2nd time picking up dinner from here... Clam chowder and chicken quesadilla this time... Food is great... Service, ease of ordering could stand improvement. 1st... Both places that showed web address (Facebook and Yelp) the links were broken.. did not work. Finally found a partial menu online thru Gadsden Food To Go... 2nd... My chicken quesadilla is supposed to come with both chips and salsa... I got the chips... No salsa... Called to let them know the error... Girl was very apologetic on the phone.. not a big issue since I have salsa here... But I did pay for it and did not get what I paid for. That's a problem. 3rd... Prices... They are on the high side... Red Lobster kind of high.. that's not necessarily a bad thing.. if I was eating at a Red Lobster not a small cafe style fish market. I order from here maybe once a month... If prices were more in line with other cafe fish markets I've eaten at that might be a once a week thing. Since this is not a glowing 5 star review I doubt I will get feedback from management. In looking thru the reviews, they only seem to acknowledge those 5 star reviews. This experience will not stop me from eating here (only game in town) but I will make sure my order is correct before leaving the store...
Read moreThis place was pretty good. The actual building itself is nothing fancy by any means but the quality of product is good.
I tried it for the first time today and I've been to alot of disappointing places in Rainbow City bit this place was legit. The customer service and friendliness of the stuff was really good, I wasn't even there that long and they came up to me at least three to four times to make sure everything was all good and the guy at the register was really cool and informative.
I ordered the grilled swordfish with orange sauce on rice and boiled zucchini and squash. They give it to you straight up so if you want to add salt and pepper you better put it on there yourself but it was definitely a quality meal.
My standards are pretty high but based on Rainbow City standards I would say these guys deserved a 5 out of 5 considering what's on the table for that area. I will definitely be back to this restaurant to check up on their other options. 🤘🏻
Edit: I came back another time after this and got shellfish poisoning and will...
