Found this place on a Saturday motorcycle ride, and I'm glad I stopped.
The food was very delicious. Young ladies at the front were super nice. Place appeared well maintained. And there are plenty of options for anyone hungry coming in from car, boat or motorcycle.
I ordered the smoked turkey, slaw & Mac 'n' Cheese.
Smoked Turkey was some of the best I've had in a while. Had a great smoke flavor. Completely forgot about the BBQ sauce since the smoked turkey tasted so good without it.
I love a good vinegar slaw.. the slaw here was different. No bad different, but just haven't had any like it before. It had a good flavor for sure. Was it the best, no, but would I order it again? For sure.
The only real let down was the Mac 'n' Cheese. It wasn't bad, but it reminded me of that stuff you would get from the school cafeteria. Like it came pre-made and was just heated up in the over. Mac was just a bit overcooked for my preference. Would have much more preferred some homemade country style Mac 'n' Cheese instead.
Overall it was a well worth it meal. And I would certainly stop in again if I've ever riding through there again or I might try the pizza option next door. Hopefully their pizza is just as good...
Read moreOkay, we have been driving by this place for probably two years and have always wanted to try it. Well, we finally got the opportunity. After going to an estate sale, we didn't feel like driving all the way into Gadsden. So we pulled into the Little Bridge Marina Barbecue. I have to say, I am glad we did! This place is a gem! Had the smoked beef brisket, along with hash brown casserole and baked beans, and it came with cornbread muffins. This may have been the best smoked beef brisket I've ever had. I was able to cut it with the plastic fork and knife that it was served with. When I first saw the plastic, I thought eh this isn't gonna be a good thing, But once I tried cutting it, the plastic knife slid right through the brisket. It was literally perfectly cooked. And I gotta tell ya, the hash brown casserole was great! And the baked beans had little pieces of smoked pork in it. Extremely tasty! I would definitely recommend stopping in to the Little Bridge Marina Barbecue on 77 in Southside, Alabama and having lunch or dinner, or carry it out to your campsite or to your picnic You will definitely not be disappointed! Oh yeah,...
Read moreThis restaurant is a very popular place, we were there at lunch and there was a steady stream of customers but plenty of seating inside and out.. It is located on the river. You can dock your boat and walk up. Lots of outside seating in the shade with a cool bar outside. Coolers with drinks, beer and bagged ice to go. When you go in, t’s like a fast food counter. Order off the over head menu or the special of the day. Give them your name and they call you when it is ready. We had the BBQ salads, large portions, they were average in taste compared to other BBQ salads, the ranch dressing is homemade, that is a plus. We will try the hamburger if we go back, someone else had it and it looked good.
