WARNING - visit the Rainelle, WV McDonald's location of an evening at your own risk of wasting your money and waiting extended periods of time on poorly prepared menu items by staff that simply don't seem to care.
Used the mobile order & pay this evening to place an order. When I 'checked in' at curbside there wasn't a sole in the drive-thru, didn't appear to be anyone at the inside counter, and the app indicated an expected wait time of five (5) minutes. Twelve (12) minutes later an employee brought out a bag containing sandwiches & fries, but no drinks. After confirming that the items in the bag were correct, she returned to get the drinks that were ordered. Upon handing me the paper bag, I looked inside and was disappointed to see that the majority of the fries were not in the container, but spilled throughout the bag. I think it's inexcusable for a bag of food items to look this disheveled when delivered such a short distance by an employee. Items appear as if they're just thrown into the bag without any thought being given as to how to properly place multiple food items in a bag. And then to forget the drink portion of the order is just inexcusable, especially when there wasn't many customers during this timeframe. I also didn't realize that stock condiments on a sandwich needed to be special ordered if you'd like to actually taste them. It's either that or the price of ketchup has skyrocketed for the lack of ketchup on both the quarter pounders w/cheese that I was served. McDonald's, you shouldn't have go to the refrigerator and get items that are supposed to be on the sandwich in order to eat. I guess it's good for you that you don't have a lot of competition in this area, however I will be taking my business elsewhere during the evening hours. I'd rate this visit with zero (0) stars if possible!!!
UPDATE: Just go somewhere else to eat regardless of what time of day it is. Placed another mobile order on 09/14/2018 and checked in curbside at 10:07 with app indicating that order should be ready in five (5) minutes. I was still waiting at 10:25, eighteen (18) minutes later, so I decided to go inside the restaurant since they quit serving breakfast at 10:30. After about three (3) minutes, I was finally able to get a manager's attention and described what had occurred to this point, but she was more interested in the asst. manager bringing her something to right down a list of items that needed to be taken to another McD's in White Sulphur Springs than listening to me. The two (2) managers then looked around aimlessly saying they couldn't find my order and asked what it was again. I finally left the restaurant without any of the items I'd ordered, but that didn't stop them from charging my credit card for the entire order I never received.
I filed a complaint with McD's and was assured they'd "look into it", but instead received an email with a long list of questions. Then I received a message that General Manager Wilbur Johnson would be calling to speak with me. I wasn't able to answer the phone when he called, but he did leave a message stating that he'd call back later that evening. This was the last I've heard from anyone at any level from McDonald's AND I've never received a refund for the order I didn't receive.
Do yourself a favor and go to Dairy Queen, or anywhere but the Rainelle McDonald's to eat! You'll be...
Read moreThis is litterally the only place to get breakfast if you’re a local and mind you, all of these reviews are from people who have lived here for over 10 years. You guys give paying customers, in a small town, 5 hours and some change to get the breakfast menu. I was in town at 9:45 this morning to find the mcdonald’s stating they were “closed” for technical issues with no specific time on even reopening. I go home and decide to go back at 10:20, I got to the speaker at 10:24 and they shut the breakfast off with breakfast still showing on the menu. As if it wasn’t inconvenient for customers this morning, and the fact that i literally had 6 minutes and the place was empty is really disappointing. When you make two trips and to get this service, when you pay for extra sauce and get zero every single time, when you’re the only place serving breakfast in a small town, this is very inconvenient and unfair to do to people who live here and have expectations. That was absolutely absurd to me, i’ve never had that happen in the whole 25+ years i’ve lived here and honestly i do not plan to go back again and im a resident, resident. yall play too much! I left...
Read moreI went into the restaurant last Thursday to order several biscuits for an office breakfast party the following day and be courteous by giving them plenty of notice for a large order. The manager on duty at the time was very helpful and stated they would be glad to help. I gave them the order and told them I needed to pick it by 7am. She spoke to a coworker who advised she was the opening person in charge the next day and gave her the order and told her I would be picking it up by 7am. I showed up at 6:50 am in the drivethru the next morning to pick up the large order as planned, they did not know anything about my order and wanted to know what I needed again because no order like that had been fixed! I went inside to speak with the person who was in charge and opened who also was given the order the day before but as I approached the counter to speak to her she just walked away to the back of the restaurant! I stood there for a few minutes and nobody would even help me, so I had to leave to get to work on time without the biscuits I had promised to bring! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER...
