The last time I was here was in 1979 when it was not much more than a restaurant and small banquet facility. Today it is a sports bar with outside seating; practically unrecognizable. It definitely has a bar-feel to it, without losing its family-friendliness. The pictures on the wall indicate that this is Penn State and Philly sports country. We came for lunch, and were not disappointed with our sandwiches and generous portion of fries (for an upcharge). Prices were pretty reasonable. Our server was easy going and friendly. It would be fun to check this place out on a Friday or Saturday night to get a better sense of the local flavor, because I think this is where it's at.

I typically have some sort of chicken when I visit the Wayside, this time around I got a shrimp flat bread and it was delicious! For many reasons our family loves the Wayside. My kids are super fans of their chicken tenders and hate any other kind. We even take them with us on vacation. Cheers! Southwestern chicken from another night. Crab dip from another night. Update: seafood boil and Snow Crab leg dinner! Meatball hoagie!

So I’m travels a friend and I stopped here. First off the gentleman waiting on us was a great. We asked for suggestions band he said the two things he never lies about is food and booze. He recommended a burger and we went wilt the bunker hill bacon burger with fries. He didn’t lie what a great burger and it was fresh ground meat not a frozen patty. I suggest stopping and having a a burger. Great place!!!! Great burger!!!

My wife and I, have been visiting the Wayside for nearly 15 years now. Rarely a problem with our food, and immediately corrected if a problem occured. Full menu that everyone can enjoy. Nightly Specials Drinks are always fresh and cold, and rarely go empty. Atmosphere is delightful. Flat screens all around the place. Pool table, juke box, video machines.

  • Seasonal * Covered / heated Outside area with full bar. Some of the outside tables have propane fires in the middle. Summer time, they have live music outside.

If you are in the area, make sure to stop in and say "hi" to Kevin. He is the man, in my opinion, that runs that place, and a hell of a job he does. The owner frequents the place and has always appeared nice and friendly.

Honestly, you can't go wrong here.

"My ONLY complaint, is, the staff should leave their cell phones in their cars." It is just a pet...

We are visiting the area and we were excited this place was so close to where we were staying and the awesome prices. Food is okay at best- we had wings, French onion, kids pizza and burgers. My husbands burger was cooked perfectly but mine was raw. I like it cooked medium rare but this was a little too under cooked and I felt nervous about it. They took it back and made another but this time it was very well done with barely any sauce so it was very dry. No one checked in about it or apologized- just gave us the check. I felt funny bringing it to their attention again but very unhappy about paying for this burger that was really tough for me to eat and I wasted half. The kids pizza was not good at all, my son wasted...

The Wayside Inn definitely doesn't look great from the outside... On the left side of the building theres a happening bar, which is always packed. The food is delish and I definitely recommend the wings. The check in is a little weird and uncomfortable because the same person serving drinks gives you your key to the room. The customer service is good, and everyone is somewhat friendly and helpful. The entrance to the room is on the outside of the building which is creepy.. but it is a safe town so there is no need to worry. The hallway to your room stinks like smoke. Once you open your door there are 2 queen beds a tv and a bathroom. Everything in the room is EXTREMELY dated except the TV....
