Friendship Acres Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Randolph Township

I had the extreme misfortune to ATTEMPT to use the campground. I had camped there 4 years ago and had known about it since I was in college. 4years ago I would have said it wasn't what it used to be. Tonight's experience (arrived after dark) was a nightmare. No map, no assigned space and no guide in a golf cart. And almost no lights to illuminate the sites. Used my high beams to try to pick a site - gravel and dirt "marked" them, and I finally backed part way in, then got oit of the truck to make sure I wouldn't hit the water or electric hookups or run over the sewer connection. AND NEARLY FELL INTO AN 8 TO 10 INCH SEWER ACCESS which had only a piece of rotting plywood half covering it. This WAS NOT a connecter, it was a maintenance access which is supposed to be covered and sealed with a cast irpn plate. At age 69, had my doot gone down that thing... broken leg, infection or worse? LUCKILY the smell warned me off!

I called the office and did get a full refund when I left about 5 minutes later.

There have got to be at least 100 year round campers there. Most of these people have modest to barely scraping by finances. No one can "afford" typhus... and the lack of ordinary sanitation is an onvitation for...

If you're new to this establishment and it is busy you will be clueless as to where to step in to get a drink without just going between people at the bar. If you want to eat you can go to the restaurant side where there are no waitresses or menus anywhere. We planned on eating there tonight but instead had a couple beers and went elsewhere to eat. Not very organized and one person I think may have been a manager spoke to noone other than to tell the bartender they were out if a certain kind if beer. Noone seemed to be running the place and making sure things were happening. Being a manager myself for many years could have stepped in and made a difference and I'm not in the bar/ restaurant industry. Non the less a manager can manage in most...

It's a nice place to go with your family and friends I like the improvements they've made through the years I hope they keep adding I recommend that they clean a little bit better. I love that the outhouses have flushing toilets I don't think they're housekeeping department takes pride in there job.even tho the newer building has recently went threw some changes that I like the housekeeping department needs some more up to...
