Food: The Thai tea was pretty good, it was a little bit diluted, but you can still taste the tea pretty well. I got the Vietnamese pancake, which was a good size and you had plenty of garnishes to eat with it and the sauce that comes with it was perfect. The butter garlic escargot provided with a good portion of it and it was delicious but I thought it was rather still bland without the sauce, it could’ve been the type of butter they were using like it’s not salted? Lots of garlic. My friend ordered the coconut shrimp which honestly wasn’t really what we had expected bc it was five shrimps on a coconut. I definitely would come back to try the other food options as this resembles my culture. Service: the service was rather slow as we came on a day that it was during somebody’s birthday, so we had to constantly ask for their our server for things or when we needed something. It took a while for us to get the food and bill as we were just sitting there waiting for during dinner. Ambiance: It’s Vietnamese inspired so you’re going to see a lot of celebration and partly like vibe if there’s a birthday. Surprisingly we did go and it was during somebody’s birthday so it was loud during the whole time. They were doing karaoke which feels like you’re at a live music, but it was so loud during the whole time which can be a bit much if you’re just trying to have dinner. It’s a very beautiful lounge with unique furniture pieces, and it’s rather spacious with outdoor patio seating. Location accommodation: There’s plenty of parking in the back. They just recently opened this past year and offer a lot karaoke nights and songs to request.

If you ever want authentic Vietnamese food. This isn't a place. Let me start by saying the parking spaces are plenty. The inside is very modern. They are running a happy hour special from 4:30 to 6pm. 2 appetizers for half off. We ordered nem cuon, tuna cevechi and banh xeo. The tuna cevechi isn't fresh. It's frozen tuna. Needed more acid to the cevechi and maybe some spice. The Banh Xeo we ordered came 40 mins later without the fish sauce. We had to ask the hosts for it. The Banh Xeo is made from American pancake mixed. The shrimps for the Banh Xeo are extra small! We can immediately tell that they didn't use the rice flour to make Banh Xeo. The fish sauce is sweet. The Bo Ne aka Vietnamese breakfast with steak, egg, and patait. The skillet was hot, but the food was warm. The sauce was sweet. My wife had Bun Bo Hue. Let me say it's anywhere closed to being Bun Bo Hue. The broth is sweet. No herb smell to it. When the broth comes out, you should smell the herb in the broth. Nope! My nephew ordered oxtail pho. The broth had no herb smell or tasted. One oxtail, no beef slice, and a couple of beef balls. My sister had wild boar meat. She wanted a small bowl of rice. It took 20 minutes to arrive! We came at 5:30 pm. The two out of three appetizers were supposed to be half off. She didn't take it off. So we had to tell the hostess. I can say the hostess are clueless. The food isn't authentic, and the service is really slow!

This review is for a Private Party we had at the Lounge. What a great decision it was to have our cocktail karaoke birthday party for approx 40ppl there! Our party required different items that what are offered on their regular menu, so we worked closely with Lynn to create finger foods and appetizers, some gluten free, that go well with cocktails. Lynn was great to work with, lots of communication, and understood what we were going for. Chef Ron did a great job and everything looked and tasted great. He even came out and did a song :D Bartender and the rest of the staff were very attentive and fast to help me with any requests during the party. The atmosphere is great and we didn't need to do any other decorating except for a birthday banner. They had a karaoke DJ, Van, that was so great to work with and perfectly mixed the sound and kept the music/requests going. We are really pleased and would not hesitate to have another party at the Monkey Lounge!

I reserved today for my daughters bday who lives out of state, we were never acknowledged that it was her bday but the other table in front by the (karaoke stage)was acknowledged we sang our own bday to her, then we practically had to beg to do Karoke we kept being dismissed by the servers, not sure if this was because we were dressed in White tees and jeans (we dressed in theme of Rapper Souljah Boy) and as people of color but it was very evident we were being ingnored intentionally ,as the karaoke dj only spoke in Vietnamese so we didn't understand what he was saying the host never came to our table to ask how everything was and is there anything we needed but he rounded at the other tables totally ignored us, this was very disappointing. The food my husband was given was still frozen the fish was definitely not freshly battered and fries were soggy and too garlicky it was clumps of garlic tossed on it and this was one of the Specials it was absolutely disgusting he couldn't even eat it and parts of it was still cold, is this how you plate food and feed it to your paying customers wow? again disappointing, but he didnt send it back as we didn't want to spoil my daughters special day, the chicken wings were tough to chew, salmon bites were tasteless. We are hard working individuals and did not deserve to be treated in this manner but made the best of it and when I asked our server if she was going to get an acknowledgment for her bday maybe a slice of cake or something he looked at me dumbfounded and was speechless, and then he had the audacity after I tipped him very generously 22% of our bill that was over 400 dollars, first asked if i meant to leave this much tip and proceeded to count the money twice ? I said wow really then give it back if you don't want my money, this was really telling he knew they did not provide good service so he was shocked we were still leaving a tip,and then had the audacity to ask if we still wanted the bday cake, hello young man we are leaving it should have been brought out before asking for the bill and her bday should have been acknowledged. Don't go there Lastly the only positive was the bartender who came over to explain the drinks that my daughter and my nieces ordered with Reposado is going to change the flavor and was there something else because it may not taste good with the current concoction and they would not refund any money we totally appreciated that and she made other recommendations, all her drinks were on point delicious I should have given that 22% tip to her but hindsight is 20/20. John L/Monkey Lounge owners do better money is green that is the only color you should be worried about and treat your diners with respect who never know their circumstances and what this experience meant to...

This restaurant was a hit/miss in several different areas. Atmosphere was good, space is decorated in a fun way and clean (lots of fake plants/ bright colors/ kind of jungle themed). Drinks were the highlight- nicely presented, strong, and well priced. Recommend the lotus flower, lychee martini, sparkling pear martinis. Apps were ok (pan fried dumplings great and shrimp fire crackers lacked flavor but fried well, with great sauce). Entrees hit and miss. The boar in both the stir fried boar and sizzling boar entrees were pretty fatty/ chewy. Flavors of these dishes were tasty though. They ran out of baguettes that were supposed to come with the dishes so they were replaced it with what looked like pork rinds but made out of dragonfruit (which wasnt bad). Pineapple stir fry was well presented served in half a pineapple but the flavor fell flat, no taste other than the meat in the dish and the pineapple. Service was slow and spotty despite us going in when it was pretty empty, not sure if they were short staffed or if thats how it always is but my party was not the only one to mention it. Not all dishes came out at the same time and some members of our party waited a while for their entrees. Not sure what was up with our server (might have been on the newer side) but he didn’t know much about the dishes when we had questions, forgot one of our apps which we had to remind him and got at the end of our meal. Overall not the worst spot but have...
