The Rangeley Hideaway — Restaurant in Rangeley

My prayers have been answered! Downtown Rangeley has a wonderful Internet cafe that also serves the best coffee in town. The Hideaway is just what the town has been lacking for too long: a bright, welcoming location hosted by wonderful people with indoor/outdoor seating with superb internet service regardless of your seating choice. They also sell scrumptious waffles with choice of fillings, bags of coffee, as well as high grade chocolate. Coming here as part of my daily ritual is a wonderful start to the day. The Hideaway is perfect for a quick cup of coffee, checking your email or renting a private room for online meetings.

A somewhat unpleasant experience. I went into to this place very excited to try the coffee. I was greeted with an attitude that I even had a dog let alone a service animal. It’s unfortunate that I felt bad about a dog that is trained and provides a service to me. I hardly had a greeting just telling me dogs aren’t allowed followed by “oh is that a service dog”. I did get a coffee because I was looking forward to it all week. It was good coffee but the experience put a sour taste in my mouth. I can't say enough good things about this Cafe, the owner and employees were very friendly and welcoming, the ambiance was the perfect combination of modern and quaint, the food and drinks were positively delicious. It is the perfect space to pop in for a quick morning coffee or to hang out and get some work done with a cozy upstairs that offers personal spaces. 10/10 recommend supporting this local business.
