I swung by after work. I was dirty, tired, hungry and thirsty. It was a little after 6pm on a Tuesday. I was seated immediately. I mean I opened the door and the host ushered me right to a booth. I ordered and my food seriously came within 5 minutes. An owner or cook came by with a sample of a special sauce to try with my meal. It was too spicy for my taste, but it made me feel included and special.. like he personally approved of my meal selection. The food was excellent. I ordered my standard Mexican fare, Chori Pollo, and a few hard tacos on the side. Everything was super fresh. Everything tasted excellent. I don't normally take pictures of my meals, but I didn't think my coworkers would believe how fast the food came.. so I texted a picture to a few of them.. they hadn't even gotten back to the hotel yet. The tables were approximately 60% filled.. so it's not like the cooks were in the back waiting on something to do. They don't mess around. They get your food out in a hurry. I think it took as long to order as it did to get my food. . A loud and boisterous group was sitting at a table on the other side of the dining room so I had to have the waiter repeat himself a few times so I could hear him. Taco Tuesdays, I suppose. I'm in town for a few more days and I'll definitely be back.. with some coworkers next time. Pictured is my food shortly after I ordered.. Chori Pollo. 2 hard tacos, no lettuce. Queso. Chips. Flour Tortillas (you get a choice of flour or corn),...

So here's the good and the not so...
The service as I've previously mentioned was exceptional.
The special on Tuesday (when I showed up) was $1 tacos and $3 Margaritas. Another home run with the Margi's...exceptional and surprisingly despite it being a special, was not watered down...but actually downright great.
The $1 tacos are for shredded chicken and ground beef. You want steak and chuck chicken, that's $2 AND that's OK. BUT, the flavors were seriously lacking in the chicken...not seasoned enough for sure.
I ended up having the La Favorota which was 2 seafood enchiladas. Nicely stuffed and cooked to perfection with no fillers with an perfectly seasoned queso on top. Only thing lacking was refried beans on the plate...allow a substitute for the rice if patrons so wish. To their credit, I did not inquire.
The ambience was perfectly Mexican and the music was appropriate as well.
If in the area again, will definitely be coming back. This is an upbeat, lively atmosphere with good food and great service. What's...
