We ordered a pepperoni and sausage pizza to go over the weekend while staying in the RV park next door. I should add that the RV park we stayed at earlier in the week in Custer raved about the pizza here and said it was worth the 30-40 minute drive from there...so, naturally, we planned to try it when we got to our next stop knowing that it was conveniently located next door. In my opinion, there are four key elements to achieving a perfect pizza. They are a freshly hand-tossed crust baked to just the right doneness, a tasty sauce, real mozzarella cheese (and plenty of it) and quality toppings. (Especially meats that aren’t overly greasy.) Rarely do you find a pizza place that nails all of these, but Lintz Brothers does. They also put the toppings (the pepperoni at least) under the cheese. My favorite pizza place growing up did that and I love it that way. I also give them high marks for friendly service, cleanliness, generous portions (the medium seemed more like a large at most other places) and very good prices. We truly enjoyed our delicious pizza and the leftovers from it. I highly recommend this place! Be sure to call well ahead of time, though. We called on our way back from The Badlands and there was an hour long wait for a pizza to go. Obviously, the word is out...and it’s...
Read moreThis place was highly recommended by a ranger in Custer State Park. It was right outside the west entrance near Hermosa which was conveniently located by our campsite at Heartland RV Park.
After our wonderful visit at the park, we called and placed an order and within 20 minutes, our pizzas was ready for pick up.
We ordered basically a supreme as well as a Hawaiian (without the nuts, which was an option , I wasn't feeling adventurous that day so we opted out).
I really loved how the cheese covered everything which makes eating it easier because its a less chance that all your yummy toppings will fall off while enjoying it. Super smart! Also, we noticed how the ham on the Hawaiian pizza was layered perfectly under the blanket of cheese so that each bite had all the flavors! I've never had such well thought out pizza before and the extra effort totally appeals to all my senses!
Don't miss out and make sure you treat yourself to some of the...
Read moreI went on a road trip this summer, starting from Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania and ending in western South Dakota. The trip ended about a month ago, and I have been meaning to write a review ever since, just because I was so satisfied. I never really write reviews for anything, but going to this place was just one of my favorite parts of the trip. We got service right away, the pizza was fantastic (and not pricey at all), the staff was extremely kind, and the entire building was spotless. I felt like the pizza would have costed twice as much as it did just because the overall experience was so great altogether. My friend and I kept joking about the place being too good to be true, and that there must be some kind of Sweeney Todd murder stuff going on in the back to balance it out. I live at least 2,000 miles from this place, but if I'm ever within a couple hundred miles again, I'll have to stop there. I can't explain how great the place...
