Chicken Review: Wings and Rings, Rapid City, SD #mountrushmore #chicken #southdakota #bluecheese #getarealjob

Overall it was an excellent experience with the food, service, and price. First let's start with the food, it definitely seemed made to order and fresh. Even the ingredients seemed prepped by hand and very well done. I enjoyed the cheesy cauliflower. I'm a huge fan of chicken fingers and these were massive and handbreaded. This was a pretty big deal for me cuz I hate freezer out of the bag chicken strips when I'm going to a restaurant. They definitely delivered and you can pick the sauces that you want but definitely a good value. I think it was like 8 bucks for four but they were huge. The service was great and prompt. The servers seem happy and The space was clean. Everybody seemed attentive and ready to do their job. Got to talk to the manager, he was a very nice. And actually on his way out the door to pick up some needed produce from the local store. I found that encouraging as he is attentive to what is needed but also it's fresh. Overall it is a sports bar atmosphere. There are lots of TVs and sports paraphernalia. Very much reminds me of the restaurant that I'm sure they don't want named, Buffalo wild wings. In fact it was so similar they went from Buffalo wings & rings to just wings and rings to add some distinction. I would say that they are on the surface very similar but underneath the food is very different. You may find a similar menu but the prep care and quality are a lot more at wings and rings. Buffalo wild wings is a chain and suffers from some of the things that they do such as small portions, over prices their menu, and relies on their name and quality control to justify the price. I would say I went skeptical but I left very happy. I would definitely go there again with my family and know that we would enjoy a great meal and it won't break the wallet. I would also recommend the chicken strips.

We have been to wings and rings a few times now so I guess it’s time to write a review. The first time I visited this restaurant I ordered some of the appetizers for a meal and they were alright, nothing to brag about. I think if anything the garlic Parmesan fries were pretty delicious. The second time I visited I ended up getting some cauliflower wings and loved their sauce options. Now the last time I went I tried their Korean chicken burger and this is where it is at. I highly recommend this burger and make sure to upgrade your fries to the garlic Parmesan covered. The atmosphere is a typical sports bar with no hard liquor but several different taps available. The wait staff has been great and I have nothing to complain about there. Great selection on their menu and choices for everyone. Would recommend as a place to take family or friends who are really picky and chicken is always a winner.

We had a party of 4 adults and 3 kids. Our food came out 25 min later after asking where our food was numerous times and then finally given an answer besides it’s coming. After our food came 10 of the wings came out wrong after sending them back we waited 55 min to get them, within those 55 min of waiting my mom asked for a large side of sauce the server came back with FRIES to our shock my mom then explained to the server we didn’t order this we just wanted a side of sauce the server started to ARGUE with her raise his voice and ask why do you even need another side of sauce there is one right next too you what kind of server argues back like that too that extent? We then got a new server. The manger came out with the 10 wings we ordered that took 55 min and said she took those off and the fries that we DID NOT order. The entire meal took over 25 min to get and then an extra 25 min for wings to come out the right way with a total of 55 min. They have 5 servers 1 bartender 2 runners and a manger and only had 3 tables open and the food took that long? I’m also so appalled by the server who thought it would be okay to be so incredibly rude to a customer i am a server as well and if I decided to do that I would be fired on the spot. Also the manger only took the wings off that took 55 min to come out and the fries we didn’t order she should’ve taken something off the entire meal as well. We then payed with a credit card it took 20 min for the server to finally give us back our card so we could leave this aful place. This all happened at the Rapid city SD location. We will not be returning if I could give this a 0 Star I would....

TVs are old and poor quality for sports, their Facebook page shows liquor specials from time to time and the company as a whole sells liquor except this franchise location. Overall Buffalo Wild Wings offers more for the sports experience.

Tried this place again on April 25th 2021, was seated and found the tables to have a sticky film on them it was noticeable as the blunt end of a fork could draw lines ontop of the table through the film. Waited 7 mins for a server to finally great us only after a larger table entered and was greater by their server. Upon ordering everything we wanted and the server even verifying to bring our appetizer out first, our food was brought out before the appetizer.

I refused the appetizer and had it removed from the bill due to this. While eating the (Harvest)salad I found the blue cheese to be strong enough to mask the flavor of other items im the salad, the pecans and cranberries were on the bottom upon being served which made for digging to get a taste of all the flavors. Add in the chicken was cool-cold while cooked it appeared and tasted as if it was precooked and reheated to be served it did not taste as though it was freshly grilled but more so flat top reheated and lacked any sort of fresh taste or heat a just cooked piece of chicken would have.

Because of this latest visit I have dropped the rating to one star. Which is even a shame to me as I used to frequent this establishment for Raider NFL games every Sunday for multiple years at one point. The food and service has definitely...
